I purchased a "granny safe" horse from Jillian Randol (she resided in Redmond, Oregon at that time) in September, 2018. When I went to pick up the horse, she exhibited aggressive behavior. Jillian assured me it was only due to having had her teeth floated earlier that day/coming off sedation. She swore to it enough to promise me, should the behavior continue after I'd taken the horse home and let her settle a bit, she would take the horse back. I believed and trusted her. Took horse home but mare continued to show aggressive behavior so after 10 days, I told Jillian I needed to bring her back. She surprised me by saying she couldn't take her and had spent the money. I reminded her of her promise to me and told her I needed her off my property (I considered her dangerous to my grandkids) and would be bringing her back. Frustrated that she'd spent the money already, I told her she could re-sell the horse (after some much needed training so she wouldn't hurt someone) and pay me back when sold. I had her sign a contract. Time went by and she kept giving me a song and a dance about the horse needing more training, more time. I finally discovered she had traded my mare for another horse and then sold that horse and pocketed the money. She refuses to give me back any of my money or even to dialogue with me. I have saved all our conversations and have pictures of everything that transpired. Come to find out, she had done this, as well as various other unethical dealings, with countless other people and even has a criminal record. She is NOT to be trusted!

I am guilty of being an idiot for trusting Jillian’s word that she would indeed take her horse back if horse continued with aggression issues. And Customer WAS getting riding lessons! I told Jillian I was looking for a horse without ANY training issues.

I clearly communicated my fear issues, that i was looking for as gentle and calm of a horse as possible because of them!! Jillian ASSURED me this horse was SO gentle, SO obedient, SO kind children -and even grannies- can easily, safely ride. I AM a 'granny’. I believed her.

I brought horse back as per HER spoken promise, never dreaming she would STEAL my $4,000. I have a SIGNED contract stating she AGREES to pay me back when horse sold. Yes!! Of course I thought I was "entitled” to a refund! Seriously?? Jillian signed the contract saying I WOULD get that refund (thereby agreeing I AM entitled to it!!)

Who brings a horse back and says just keep the $4,000???? These are the kind of weird, twisting stories/lies she creates to justify her unethical behaviors. I had NO idea Jillian (Maggie Mae R...she has alias’) would lie to me (even admitting horse was dangerous and needed more training before she could sell her again) and then sell horse and steal my $!!

Yes, horse is in a good home and I’m glad. She’s getting the training she needs! I’ve talked to the new owner who feels terrible about all this. And this case is FAR from over. Please check this woman’s records. You will find I am one of MANY victims.

Horse was sold "as is” and signed bill of sale. and returned due to wrong fit two weeks later. I had to make room for the horse to come back ASAP to ensure the horses safety. Customer should get riding lessons instead of purchasing a horse. Customer thought she was entitled to a refund.

Customer turned over horse and all paperwork and wanted no more responsibility of the animal. Horse is now in a loving home where the whole family enjoys her.
