J.D.Marvel Products,Inc company immediately cashed my purchase check but sent no product.multiple requests for refund have gone unanswered. champlain N.Y.
On 4/22/02 I sent a check for $13.90 to this company which represented $13.95 for the purchase of a hearing aid and $3.95 for shipping.Their ad in USA Today Weekend stated that delivery would be in two to five weeks.My check was cashed on 4/29/02.
Eight weeks later, not having received the product, I wrote to the company requesting a refund.An additional two weeks have passed and I have had no response.Can't someone do something about these scam artists?
Don't newspapers and others who accept advertisements have any responsibility to the reading public to check out the advertisers? Is it "a fool and his money are soon parted","buyer beware" or who cares about fraudulent,deceptive advertising? Is it a real "stretch" to put truth and advertising in the same sentence?
