iyogi/mcafee mcafee virus protection/iyogi tech support downloaded mcafee then my computer was overtaken by iyogi Internet
i downloade mcafee virus protection on my laptop. well it infact made me think my computer was horrible infested with viruses....the fix was to call iyog. big mistake. they took over my pc then said they could fix it. i at this point had figured out that they (McAfee and iYogi) were the cause of my problems so i asked for a refund....sure she said then quickly changed the subject and refused to let me get a refund without first harassing me on the phone for an hour! she finally sent me to a page so i could put my info in and receive my refund....she still had control of my computer....everytime i would try and type she would move my cursor or delete my info and then told me it was the virus causing it and they could fix it for $149.00. Fifty dollars cheaper than the computer store and my copmputer would not b useable until she fixed it.....once again i had to tell her no no no no no no no...finally i got the phone number. i was on hold an hour then i was told to yet dial another number.....it was out of service....finally i called and got even more upset and got a valid number to set up my refund....mcafee is the worst virus protection and it is nothing more than a scam that has partnered with iyogi to rip consumers off....they intentionaly cause problems in which they can fix....oddly enough i removed all of the mcafee softer as well as anything associated with iyogi. Outcome: Problem solved. My computer is running fine and i downloaded another program that has had none of the horrible effects like mcafee.

We would like to set the record staright here that firstly we cannot control or access any customer's computer without receiving his/her authorization over it. Secondly, we are an independent organization and are not affiliated to McAfee, we just sell their software. The customers call us in order to get tech supoport incase they have any problems related to McAfee or their computer in general. We are a subscription based service but are always more than happy to help people calling us and put the onus on fixing the problem.
We take feedback seriously though and if you have any proof which will substantiate your claims on here , we would request you to email us the same along with your iYogi customer ID on our email address [email protected] . We would like to investigate the case and then action upon it if needed.
