Did you not get me email about the system board being in warranty?" What crap! I received and installed a server upgrade kit from Internetcloseouts.com However, the post test gave an error message "102 System Board Failure, Timer test failed". After thorough examination of all potential causes, the only possibility is a bad system board. I contacted HP/Compaq and that was their conclusion also. Customer was advised the product was under factory warranty but we would still accept the RMA and issue new product once we recieved his DOA part. (The parts returned were NOT from the kit we sent, this was verified with another kit that was scheduled to replace his DOA) I have had weeks of ongoing emails with a representative of the company without action to correct the problem. I placed a second order and it was cancelled. No reason given. This has been shabby customer service to say the least. We did have a couple of weeks of emails trying to resolve the issue. The issue of why the returned part was not from the kit we sent. We opened another brand new kit to verify and it did not match any of the parts listings. Yes, the second order was canceled because the first order was still pending and it seemed odd that the client wanted another board and not to pursue the warranty repair. Even with the product in warranty we would/will still accept it IF the correct parts were returned. I have advised Kent to return the product to us and we will issue a full refund. These folks do business under at least three company names - buy.com, fax.com (they're the ones that send you those annoying - and illegal in many states - advertising FAXes) and now I see internetcloseouts.com is one of their company names. Buy.com grudgingly settled with me when I complained to my credit card company, the BBB and my state AG. I think they were tired of writing letters about this and decided it was simpler just to give me my money back - a big $42 as I remember.
