ICM Websites popped up on a news website that I had been reading. I found it interesting that someone could earn extra money at home using their computer. I figured that for $2.97 I wouldn't really have anything to lose if it didn't pan out.
I filled out the order form and was immediately taken to a site to sign up for credit cards. Since I wasn't really sure what I was doing, I never completed the page, backed out of it and figured that I would wait for my informational packet and emailed user name and password.
About three and a half weeks later I received a CD which I could never use and to date have not received a user name and password. About two days after that I received my credit card statement and saw that they had charged me an additional $139.95 four days after the first charge. I then immediately called ICM Websites.
I spoke to someone called "Josh". It turns out that their three day trial period starts on the day that you fill out the order form. This is outrageous since I had not received the informational packet until three and a half weeks later and still do not have a user name and password which was supposed to be emailed to me. How was I supposed to trial their program under these circumstances? "Josh" said that they have no control over the postal service and does not know what happened to the email.
I asked for a refund and "Josh" refused and then the conversation started going around in circles with "Josh" becoming sarcastic. When I had had enough of this, I told him that the only thing that I had gotten out of this was that I had been ripped off. Of course, he did not agree. However, I was charged $142.92 for nothing and they refuse to refund my money. I was ripped off!
I told him to have a nice day and hung up.
