Infiniti of Oceanside wsa not upfront about KARR Security System Installed Oceanside California
I went to this dealerhip two days ago and negotiated a price for this vehice. When I called the following day in order to finalize the purchase they just gave me a final out the door price. When I asked for a breakdown of the price my sales rep became a little frustrated. He sent me over the breakdown and there was a line item for $795 for IPO. I immediately asked Chris what this was. At ANY time he could have been upfront and truthful with what it was but instead he starts spinning the words about asset protection and investment protection and my insurance will go down and that it's an update to my alarm system.
Never once did they mention the name of the product (even when asked) and basically told me all their cars had it and it can't be removed. I was extremely frustrated but had already decided on the car I wanted so I brought a cashier's check for the value they told. When I get to the dealerhsip I find out it's the KARR security system (which from what I am reading is complete garbage and has problems of it's own). At this point the Finance manager tells me what it is and that it CAN be de-activated. Very shady by both Chris and Eddy by not being upfront in the very beginning about this.
They lied just to make an extra $500 off me. I am happy with the car but absolutely unhappy with the experience of buying from these guys. I would not recommend this business to anyone and I feel like I was ripped off and I can only immagine how many other people who bought cars from this dealership feel the same.
