I won't waste anyone's time with a long report full of unnecessary details. I'll get straight to the point. Matthew Sherman is still scamming people, this time under the business name Industrial Equip Supply.
Basic details:
- He took 2 separate payments from my company and has failed to deliver the item we purchased.
- He has consistently lied for several days about the item being en route, but refuses to put me in contact with the carrier.
- He tried to buy himself time by asking me to instead wait for the driver to call me (when we both know there is no driver). The call I was promised, of course, never came.
- He referenced a fake coworker/employee that handles logistics. Oddly, he was still personally answering my logistics inquires while supposedly attending a family event out of state.
Numerous other red flags as well, but the basic idea is pretty clear. I believe the term for this guy is scam artist, but I use that last word very loosely. He's actually quite sloppy and has built a pretty strong case against himself in our email record. You'd think 14+ years of ripping people off would give him a little more sense than what he's shown us, but I guess that's why he can't find legitimate work.
He has been given a deadline to reimburse my company for the money he stole from us, and if he meets that deadline I will issue a follow up report noting that.
