Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
We ordered chicken strips. Upon being served, the waitress advised that they didn't have the desired sauce. We advised that we wouldn't have ordered the two meals had we known in advance that they didn't have da sauce.

There was never an offer made if we would like to order a different meal.

The strips were over cooked as well as the potatoes.

The manager was called to the table and he was nice enough to give us a dusty bottle of spicy mustard. Later he came back to ask how everything was. I told him it wasn't very tasty. He smirked and walked away. He did offer to take 20% off the bill, but when the bill came 20% wasn't subtracted. Perhaps he figured I wouldn't leave a tip. Needless to say, I didn't leave a tip nor would I go back to that IHOP.

We did NOT enjoy our meal!

Final note: My wife and I decided that companies such as these are making bigger "PROFITS" by employing managers and subordinates from 3rd world countries who are used to treating customers with less respect and who don't take pride in making customers happy. Just get the money and run...whatever it takes and "give back as little as possible."

...Welcome to the New World Order!

I have read that people are saying how employees at IHOP can make a person feel discriminated agaisnt but it sounds like the issue was with the food, why are you making stabs at the persons race or place of ethnic origin?  Everyone forgets that employees of many buisnesses getting discriminated agaisnt as well.  Every complains when guests receive that kind of treatment well look now at what customers do!  Over not having da sauce?  I woulda sucked it up and ate my chicken strips or politly asked for something else.

I have a few things for you to think about. I am a waitress at a resturant and we all have bad days. It is possible that the manager was having such a day. It doesn't dismiss his actions, but perhaps you could bring that up with his superiors. My point comes from this... It doesn't matter the ethnicity of the person. We have a manager from Brazil who is the nicest person you could ever run into. I had an interesting thing happen with a table of mine who mentioned that all of our servers were "white", and perhaps she was in a raciest establishment. Which for the record isn't true. We have a girl from Russia, and several from other places. However none were African American or black, and I feel that that's what this customer was referring to. So I meantioned that she should tour our kitchen. Seeing as almost All of our cooks are Hatian. I explained to her that they posess the skill, talent, and guts it takes to cook in that kitchen for 8 hours a day! They have great skill for orders and know what they are doing to a tee. That's more than I can say for myself because I could not handle the pressure of being in that kitchen every night, let alone know how to do it. I wish more of them were servers too because it seems like nothing could stop them, even customers like you who, like my customer, are ignorant to how other ethnic groups are. Big business doesn't hire them for the reasons you stated, they hire them because there good at what they do. And they get paid just as much as other managers or people in the resturant. Not to do so would be illegal. So "profits" do not reflect the hiring of people from different countries. If profits do go up then just like I stated, they are good at what they do and have brought revenue to the business.

So people from third worlders are subordinates? What a racist and ignorant statement. Don't blame other countries for the errors that American managers are doing to you. You are a very racist and ignorant person. Minorities are as American as you are, so to make those kind of pathetic statements only proves the kind of low life morons you are. What makes you think managers from other countries are "used to treating customers with less respect"? What a ridiculous, FALSE, and prejudice statement to make. You are a low, and ignorant person. If the manager was rude, it's because he's a rude person. Your ignorance, racism, and idiocy makes you the subordinate here.

Hmmm, This doesn't happen often, but to the original reporter, 3rd world has nothing to do with it. If the manager had been white middle class WASP would you have felt the need to mention that and attribute his behavior to that? There are bad people out there of all colors, ethnicities, sexes and other attributes. Whatever your particular ethnic background you will be able to find where people were saying the same exact things about your ancestors when they came here. To Paul, Sometimes I go to a particular place because of the sauce (El Pollo Loco for their salsa, Arbys for their sauce with their onion petals). There is nothing wrong with that. People who order buffalo wings probably want ranch dressing with them. These things go together. What makes you think that a bowl of salsa, special sauce or ranch dressing is a substitue to having them together? Do you have experience with hobo tomato soup (packets of ketchup in hot water)? You would consider that a meal? So, everytime a person has a disagreement or a disappointment with a place it is because they want a free meal? Geeez. People call me cynical but I can't hold a candle to you! If you enjoy being a push-over and saying "thank you" to whatever anyone is willing to put before you, then that is wonderful! Just don't expect everyone else to be so passive and a door mat.

An IHOP reject perhaps?

You sound like you have a personal vendetta against IHOP. First, let me start by asking you what you were doing eating at IHOP if it is run by such third-world rejects, if you are not such a degenerate yourself? (Oops, not know what degenerate means? Look it up!) You were simply out to get something for nothing. Big deal, they were out of sauce! If "da sauce" (nice... ebonics perhaps?) were ultimately the one and only thing you had a desire for that night, why didn't you skip the chicken fingers and just order a bowl full of sauce? They probably wouldn't have even charged you for it, and you would have gotten away with exactly what you came in there for -- a free meal. And being out of sauce on this particular day, they could have saved you the time and effort you spent groveling and you could've taken your business elsewhere, perhaps to Waffle House or Perkins or Shoneys. In this case, the "third-world" as you say manager, was too smart for your dim-witted self, and would not give you that free meal. Good for him! You did not deserve it!
