Never had I ad a worse experience with a company than with Dish Network, that is until I met HughesNet.  We decided on HughesNet for internet due to lack of cable options and their proposed speed of 25MBs.  The throttle down of the speed once you've gone over the alloted data is annoying enough but it was the continual service interuptions (outages) and latency that we could not live with.  We worked with HughesNet for several months and were eventually told we need to "live with it".  We've now cancelled our service only to be treated rudely and being billed now $355 cancellation fee on top of the $400 we've already spent on something we cannot really use.  I resulted to teathering to my phone hotspot for internet service!  At the end of the day I can live with a service not meeting expectations set and being out some money.  What I cannot live with is how rude the customer service person was to my wife and their strong-arm tactics.
