Did you ever get anything done about your huges net account. I am having massive issues with them and I just got service on 12-3-2013.

What a ripoff Hughesnet is. I recently moved and Hughesnet is the only internet in my area. After seeing their ads on TV, I assumed I would be getting a really fast internet speed. What a surprise I got after signing up for it that it is slower than dial up. I am looking into filing a lawsuit for false advertising. They have you sign up for 2 years, but you know, I would be willing to pay the termination fee if I can get them to court over the false advertising. Hughesnet sucks big time, plus if it's foggy or cloudy, the internet doesn't work at all.

I also am caught up in this fraud. Remarkable at 3:01pm cst and until 11pm cst my speed is throttled down to 85K, 10 hours everyday for the past 2 months on schedule. Magically reverts to 1.0-1.4 meg at 11:01pm cst. India Tech Support will not transfer me to Advanced Support, because it works half the time. Their words. I'm a retired Broadcast Engineer since 1969 and know I want off this transponder. To think everyone else on 117w bird, frequency 1050 meg is suffering also. Pure and simple fraud. Reading your post saves me the time of even trying the CEO, but I will... Marsh
