Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I have a Directway system that was discontinued a few months ago. It was given to me. I wanted to upgrade the modem as the dish is still good. They do not upgrade used modems or sell modems separatly. If you buy a used one they will not service it even if you have proof it is paid for with no balance. They told me to just throw the whole thing away. So much for recycling or customer goodwill.

I had to purchase the whole set up if I wanted high speed internet. "All you need is a clear view of the southern sky". We called twice before deciding to buy. The purchase price of 399.00 over 15 monthes plus 59.95 a month is quite a bit to me but I live in the country. Nothing comes out this way. My husband and I talked to several different people they all said installation was included. I listened to the recorded sales pitch where they say installation is only extra if you have a slate roof or Aluminum siding. Safe there, I'm good. The installers get out here and tell me they almost NEVER install it on a house. "A pole is sturdier than your house. You will hate your sevice if I put it on your house. It will cost you $250.00 to install it on a pole."

I was shocked, mad and disappointed that I could not afford the installation above the cost of the system and service. I told them no and they said what if we do it for 125.00? I was too mad at that point at the deceptive selling tactics to go along with this.

I come in and start calling, very upset feeling like I'd been sand bagged by this unexpected cost. I talked to many there. "Yes installation is included if they put it on your house but they never really do that." How is a pole sturdier than my house? I finally got to someone that was portrayed as a higher-up customer relations person. We went around for days as I said they're selling tactics are deceptive and I doubt that is unintentional. She finally told me I was not the only one that has complained about this same thing. They changed there selling pitch and recording because of me. I feel good that I helped mankind in some small way. After reading dozens of complaints of service I'm glad we didn't sign on. Although there are NO COMPLAINTS on the better business bureau website. It says in 36 monthes there have been no complaints! The name and # of the "in charge" person is Camile at 866-636-0012. You have to enter a pin # when prompted. It is 356841. I hope she can help satisfy you as she wanted to satisfy me.
