I am 20 Years old, and I was late for 2 months on my account payment to BestBuy/HRSUSA and they are already trying to come after me for breach of contract. Several times daily I receive rude phone calls littered with choice words from their collection agency who refuses to identify themselves. I was late on payment because I lost my job at America Online inc..

I am now employed again, and when they called me today I informed them that I did not have the balance in full (which they desired) but I did have $100 that I would like to send them.

They then proceeded to inform me that there was no more installment option available, to which I told them that I was simply trying to make a "good faith" payment. They refused! This is just another FINE axample of sub-standard service from a poorly managed and seldom ever respected company...HouseHold Bank!

They filed the following rebuttal to the above Rip-Off Report: Their email: [email protected] Their name: Brian L Wilkins Their relationship to the company: Consumer Suggestion Rebuttal: i just received my first bill in 6 months . i had to find an old bill to pay. i sent in $55.00 in December. i just got a call froma collection agency wanting payment in full. They called me maam and insulted me . I am disabled and have had stress test in the last 24 hours. the man said do you have strep. you sound funny i said no i had a stress test for a heart attack. well your a woman so i put my mother in law on and she is a woman. they said we will call you all we want. i said dont think so . so HRS USA finally sent a bill with $200.00 of over charges. I have bill and will make copy. Bill arrive yesterday the 8th and is due the 21 st that doesnot give two eeks so it will be late and another $25.00 will be charged. Keep a copy of your bill copy the bottom and send in before due. watch for late charges. and contact your local better business bureau . Corporate REceivables is their new collection agency be careful . they are very rude.

I have to say that I am extremely concerned with all the complaints that have been placed about HRS USA, even though I have purchased a computer,dvd player,printer/scanner/fax/copier through them with Best Buy.

I myself do not have any complaints about them, so far. I rather like the fact that I can purchase items with my best buy card that have no interest within 6, 12 or 18 months. I have yet to pay my payments late ,even though my husband was laid off and took a job with a pay cut of 4.00 an hour, because his unemployment benefits were going to run out. Even when I
didn't have all the money, I made a payment. I had no problems with them.

If you show them that you are trying, I feel that they will not mess with you. As far as the rest of the complaints, I feel that it is just employee error, even though there seems to be a lot of them. Probably poor judgement in hiring on their part.
