On October 3, 2001, I called Best Buy to learn why I had not received a bill for two months, at which time I had been sending in payment without a bill. They have reported that the check I sent in August still have not arrived, and the check sent for September posted on time. However, I was charged a late fee for August. I further learned from the customer service representative that my mail was being returned.

I inquired why, and was informed that I had sent in a change of address form to the postal service (??). I informed the rep that I had not moved in 1 1/2 years, and had received bills at this address two weeks after moving into my current location. He kept stating that I must have changed my address within the last year, and the forwarding address notification must have expired. I finally requested to speak with a manager.

After waiting 15 minutes, I was informed immediately that it is my responsibility to call Best Buy/HRS USA to check to see if payment posted, and if not posted within an acceptable time, I should immediately resend a payment.

When I informed the manager that it was impossible to prove that the mail was returned, she agreed, but insisted I should have called to make sure the payment arrived, or notified them that I had not received a bill. Besides, she informed me that Best Buy is not at fault from delays in recent mail services and perhaps the postal service is at fault, and she recommended that I seek a $29.00 refund from the Postal Service!!

So I will do all I can to send every free dollar to Best Buy/HRS USA, and I will make sure that all soldiers I come into contact with will not purchase anything from Best Buy in the future. This results in at least 40 people a day that I will see in our clinic. God Bless America! Please protect your soldiers!!

That is absolutely the MOST inane statement I've ever witnessed. "Refund from the U.S. Postal Service"?

That is absolutely the MOST inane statement I've ever witnessed. "Refund from the U.S. Postal Service"? This statement was the result of [1] An attempted inappropriate comedic endeavor (or) [2] A statement issued by someone of incomprehensably stupidity.(or)[3]A thinly desguised effort to
tell you to go to hell in a round-about way.

It's a shame that some people are adept at making such insulting, dumb frigging statements when insulated from personal contact by a telephone.

It's been my experience that when you're toe-to-toe with such people they're not apt to say such things. It sure helps if you're there to tear their throat out in rage and THEY KNOW IT. I have an intense dislike for these people who have two sets of customer interaction; on the 'phone or personal contact. I'll go a loooooong way to settle an issue with these telephone wimps in person. It's usually worth it. (and usually a lot of fun and quite satisfying)
