To many this may not seem like a rip off, but to me over 8 hours to have nothing done is a rip off of my time. First I need to mention I have had H&R Block prepare my taxes since 1984. Today I went to have my taxes done by H&R Block, two days ago I made an appointment for noon.
When I got there I waited for 30 min. only to find out the computer my tax preparer was using was down. So I said I would leave my information so she could do them when it came back up. Should I mention that other people where having their taxes prepared on computers that were working?
At 3 p.m. I had not received a call back. When I call to find out about my taxes, I was told the preparer was with a client and I would receive a call back soon. After 7p.m. I was mad, still no call.
I called to say I would be there to pick up all my information. To no surprise I left there empty handed. After calling another branch, I got a cell phone number to a person.ten minutes before 9p.m. I finally received a call saying I could get my information back. It took almost nine hours not to have my taxes prepared, NOTHING had been done!

I am sorry for your lost time at Block, my office prides itself on doing a timely return. Since you have been going to Block for many years, not all of your tax pros have been as thoughtless as this one. Please do not hold it against all of us. Some of us pride ourselves on our job and want to do the best for our clients. I have worked for block for 6 years now, my clients have become my friends, I do everything I can to help them.
