Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
In May this company gave me an extension on my auto loan for three months. The next payment was to be paid on July 1. In late June (about the 20th) I received a phone call from said company stating June payment overdue. I said, but I have an extension, I'm not due for another week and a half. They bounced me back and forth between supervisors and the end result was - we made an error on your account, but there isn't anything we're going to do to correct it. You have to make both June and July payments now (almost $900) or we're going to reposses your car. I stated I had the legal document in writing that I did not owe until July, they told me it didn't matter, I had to pay anyway.

I have since complained the the better business bureau twice. They have not taken any action and the car company has not rectified the situation.

Anyone know a good lawyer? I'd love to sue!

This email is a rebuttal to RipOff #6290. It was sent by Fraud Chick at [email protected]. Household Automotive - Retracts Legal Documents - Says TS to customer.BBB no help (#6290) They filed the following rebuttal to the above Rip-Off Report: Their email: [email protected] Their name: Fraud Chick Their relationship to the company: Consumer Suggestion Rebuttal: Unfortunately you would not have a legal leg to stand on unless they repossessed your car. If you had the legal documents in hand to prove otherwise, I would have ignored the demand for the June payment. They could not have legally repossessed your car. However, if you bowed to their greedy demand, then you are lost. What grounds could you use to sue? You owe them money, you have the car...you would normally have had to pay. It's bad business on their part. They must not want repeat customers too badly. I would let them know you posted their antics for all to see on this web page. That'll learn 'em.
