Home Service Club Fraudulent Advertising New York New York
Signed up with Home Service Club over a year ago. They claim to cover appliances, roofs, wells, water heaters etc. Never sent any contractual paper work all done on the phone. The proceed to charge our bank card every month. In December of 18 Our dryer failed. Two weeks of prodding them to get a repairman out to fix it was for not. They told us to get a local guy. We did. Spent 350.00 on parts and labor. They deducted 100 some dollars. They refused to reimburse us the ballance. They stated that in the contract (That's the one they never provided) they pay us back by adding that money to our contract payments.
They decided to replace the dryer. A dryer we paid Sears over a thousand dollars for. There replacement was only going to cost us $108 at Lowes. They decided what we could have. Nice of them. As with the money they did no reimburse me, plus their 108, we could have just walked into Lowes and bought one without even dealing with them.
To this day our original dryer is dead, they have kept our money and refuse to do anthing but put our money against a contract that doesn't pay for repairs. They lie. I turned them into the State Attorney General, no response except a retort from their five and dime New York Lawyer. Stay away from these thieves.
