Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
Two years ago I purchased a hospitality industry special travel package from Holiday Travel of America. They faxed a flyer to the B & B I worked at which enticed me to call for more information. I called and was told that the package was $600 and for that low, low price I got all this: A video and booklet with tons of travel savings( basically you got hotel accomodations for free as long as you stayed a certain length of time), and because I was in the business they would send me 6 airfare vouchers for free airfare anywhere in the US.

I bought the package that very day for $600 charged to my visa. I was supposed to receive the package in a week. One month later, after several e-mails to Holiday Travel of America I was contacted and told that they had been bought by another company and moved offices and that my order had simply fallen between the cracks. I was to receive my order within a week. The package came in the mail and i quickly realized that those free airfare vouchers had been a scam. They will pay for your airfare to a select number of cities ONLY if you book the hotel through them and stay for at least a week.

At this point I just got over it and started planning my next vacation with their package. You were supposed to send in these cards with the destination of your choice and preferred travel dates along with $3 per card and they would contact you with your reservation information a few weeks before the trip. I have sent in 5 of these cards and have heard absoutely no response to any of them. It's been two years of contacting them by mail, e-mail and fax with no response.

I believe that I should get my money back. I paid for a service that I have not recieved after a lot of badgering to try and receive it! I don't want their services now I just want my money back. I still haven't heard anything back from them so if you are ever offered one of these "great" packages JUST SAY NO! They are on the web under holiday travel of america. The address is out of Carlsbad , CA. Their phone and fax numbers are 760-431-8600 adn 760-431-3131. You can also reach them by email at [email protected].

I would like to find out what happened to why you didn't receive a phone call within that time frame. I would like you to call Felix at 1-760-431-8600 and we will make sure you get your travel done. Since you didn't leave any information on this website on who you are, I couldn't see what the problem was. Felix-Carlsbad California [email protected] 1-760-431-8600

I had recieved a travel voucher in Sept 2003 for attending a travel sales presentation. The voucher is issued by Holiday Travel of America. I filled out the travel request voucher including the three dates of travel along with a check for $ 50.00 deposit and $ 86.00 for taxes and mailed them in. it says that a repersenative will call within 60 days of the travel dates, it also say the voucher will expire one year from when it was issued. the first three dates i had chosen have come and gone and when i contacted HTOA they advised i would have to pick three more dates. my concern is that since they did not call me on the first three dates like it says they will probably not call on the last three dates and my year will be up in sept. I have since spoken to some other people who have tried to redeem the same type vouchers and they advised that the company never followed through with thier travel requests.

Misrepresentation by Marketing Company ..we would like to resolve ASAP!

I hope this response finds you...First, I'd like to apologize for the delay in this response, I have only recently become familiar with this website. I have read your complaint and from the information provided I can sincerely tell you that the problem was a misrepresentation from a marketing company. This product you are referring to has been sold over the last 8 years and we have not seen a complaint to this capacity. As we will admit, we are NOT a perfect company, but we are honest and do not attempt to "Scam" anyone. We are a wholesale travel marketing company, which means we create the product and fulfill the travel. We, along with thousands of American companies have outsourced our sales and marketing for this product and unfortunately cannot guarantee that the product is being represented by each and every marketer.

The one comment that strikes me as very odd as you stated..."I have sent in 5 of these cards and have heard absolutely no response to any of them." As I stated before we are not perfect and if this happened once i could accept that, but 5 times strikes me as a bit odd.

Did you send a check or cash? If a check was sent have they been cashed?

What address was is sent to?

Please send an e-mail to [email protected] and in the subject header write "RIPOFF REPORT RESPONSE" and provide your pertinent contact information and I will make sure that you receive our full attention and that this is resolved.
