Hiller Imports Auto Dealer Repair Addison Texas rip-off
My vehicle was brought to Hiller Imports on December the 18th 1999 for repairs to the transmission as well as an engine oil leak. At this time the repair estimate was approximately $300.00. Since I was due to leave town I had given permission to exceed the estimate up to ($500.00) When I returned to pick the vehicle up on January 3rd 2000, I was presented with a bill for $747.29. When questioned about the cost overrun I was informed that there was an expensive part that had to be replaced to stop the oil leak. This explanation was acceptable to me if the repairs had been completed. The bill was paid immediately in good faith.
After two days I noticed that the leak in both the engine and transmission were still apparent.
On the second occasion and second attempt to repair the leaks I was informed that the transmission was dry (no leaks) and they finally repaired the engine leak. This story continued for four other occasions after attempting to repair the leaks.
On the fifth occasion I attempted to have Hiller Imports repair the vehicle once again and to my dismay I was informed that it would now cost an additional $2000.00 (two thousand dollars). After a lengthy discussion the police were called by Hiller Imports for no apparent reason other then to intimidate me. Fortunately, with me, was my colleague who witnessed this whole affair.
To date I still have leaks in both the transmission as well as the engine and they refuse to do any more repairs on the vehicle.
How is that for a rip-off
