My experieance with high-tech instutute was for a lack of a better word; unfulfilling. First i was introduced by a recruiter who made every thing sound amazing, never once admiting any of the down falls of the school, like it wasn't acredited for example.

I was very excited to go to college. I made it down there and was rushed throught a process hearded like caddle it seemed like. everyone was being called one by one to sign paperwork about the student loans and the commitment that they had us all take. Not only do i owe $24,000 to them, witch now is in defult (for the moment) but i also didnt get to see a penny of that money.

i could have used a couple of thousand to get me started in a new state and new city bigger than ive ever lived in before, but instead i was placed in a 2 bedroom apartment with 3 other students and charged rent. The rent for that apartment complex was $800 a month. Instead of paying that, they charged each student $400 a month per person for peace of mind that if someone didnt make their rent payment, it wouldnt be held against us. I felt like i was being drained from every direction.

I worked a graveyard shift job and went to school durring the noon classes (I later switched to morning classes) there were times where i would sleep for 4 hours then go to work, come back home, sleep for 4-5 more hours and go to work. I turely wish that i could have seen a little bit of that $24,000 so i didnt have to be so tired in class.

My class started with 30 students and when we graduated the class had dwindled down to 6 students. Myself, i didnt go to the graduation ceremony because i was exhausted from work and slept straight through it. i was releaved to be done with it.

After i graduated, the grad placement was supposed to find me a job. They started to, i interviewed for a job, they said they would hire me, but the branch never picked up and 3 months later they finally told me it wasnt going to work. i called the grad placement again and sent him an email (as told to do) never heard a reply. turns out it went to his spam folder. I currently work in a deli at Fred Meyer making 9.15 an hour...

One of the selling points of High-Tech Instute was that there was a life time guarentee that anytime i want to go back to school i could if i had graduated. This way i could catch up on all the new updates and technical changes in all the programs we learned. (by the way each class was 1 month to learn an entire program top to bottom) and now i try to find a High-Tech Instutue and they have changed to Anthem College.

The one paticular situation that really makes my blood boil is a class we had (the main reason i went to the school, to learn 3D Studio Max) and i had this question on how to do something, so i went up to the teacher to ask exactly how to do it. The teacher was actually spent 4 out of 5 hours of the class working on his own personal portfolio (the other 4 hours were open lab for us to complete projects) and when i aproached him and asked this question, his answer was simply "F1". !!!  For anyone who doesnt know what the F1 hot key is, its the "help" hot key, most application will pop up with a general help page.

I turely feel like i was ripped off and now i owe a debt i could have put a nice down payment on a house or bought a beautiful car for that amount, instead im paying these guys off for the next 15+ years and my credit is terrible. If there was a way to sue and get my debt off the table i would do it in a heart beat.

Thanks for your attention
