we bought a big screen tv and purchased the warranty.we live in columbus ohio. last year 2004 in October we started to have discoloration when watching tv.

we called hh gregg and a tech came out couldn't figured out what is causing the problem.they tried putting in new oppondents and that didn't help. so in dec 2004 they decided to take the tv to there warehouse here in columbus ohio.

so i took pictures of our tv to make sure i had proof that there wasn't any damage to our tv before they took it out of our home.

dec 2004 we hadn't heard anything and they forgot that they had our tv. they end up doing the same thing that the tech did before that didn't work. we got our tv back all the sides of our tv including the protection screen was damage. i sent copies to robert watts at hhgregg.

he referred me to steve hughes. here it is oct 26 2005 my tv is not fix and steve hughes has not return none of our calls.

i have kept documents of who,when and the time. i have a file that i have just for the tv. we still leave messege for steve hughes at 614-492-7840 we always get his recieptionist and they forward us to steve hughes voice mail. and mr hughes hasn't return our calls since aug 18 2005. i just left a messenge for steve hughes on his voice mail oct 25 2005. to this day i just keep leaving messeges on steve hughes voice mail.

steve hughes did say he don't want to fix the outside of the tv until they figure out what is causing the problem.

and they have been in contact with mitsubishi and they don't know what is causing the problem. the problems is what are they going to do wait till the warranty is up and say sorry about your luck. or are they thinking i will give up,no way. like i said before i have a large file and i keep records.

i'm going to contact bbb and i'm concering contacting channel 4 news (on your side). i have been very patient and now i'm tired of no correspondents from steve hughes.

Just to let everyone who reads this know, HHGregg doesn't have a service department anymore. They haven't had one since June 2005. They totally dissolved the entire department and outsourced it to whoever is the closest and cheapest person to do the job. Meaning you could call them today and have you big screen fixed today by Bob's TV repair, and in 6 months when it acts up again have Larry's Electronics come then. When Throgmartin sold his soul to the Devil named Freeman & Spogili they totally changed almost every aspect of the company from how salesman get paid, to service, to delivery, to even what products they sell. Basically Throgmartin got greedy and and wanted to grow the company but forgot the core principles that HHGregg was founded on 50+ years ago. That's why on top of their logo it doesn't say "Family owned and operated" anymore, it just says "Family operated" or something to that effect. Don't be surprised if you see them having a going out of business sale in the near furture.

today i called hhgregg they are sending us a new 62 in mits tv and it will be upgraded without any cost to us.

we purchase a big screen tv bought the warranty.our tv has a discoloration when watching tv or dvd this started in sept 2004.we had contacted hhgregg they had several tech to come to my home.because i wasn't going to let it go i want it fixed.tech put in a new pwb doubler and a pcb signal.and that didn't fix the problem so the removed the new items.and said they do not know what is causing the problem.in nov 2004 the tech suggested they take the tv to there warehouse so the can have the tv and try figure out what is causing this.so i agreed i took pictures of our tv so i have proof there wasn't any damages on our tv when they took it and wanted to make sure it came back without damages.well they took our tv in nov and i haven't heard from hhgregg by december so i called hhgregg to do a follow up.they haven't even started working on our tv.the service manager steve hughes finally called me and said it's fixed.he put in a new pwb doubler and pcb signal that the tech tried earlier and didn't fixed the problem.i informed him that didn't fix the tv when the tech did it here.we got our tv back and it had damages all over even the screen protector had damages.i called hhgregg to report the damages and to let them know the tv wasn't fixed we still have the discoloration.and i emailed the pictures that i took when we got our tv back showing the damages.we have heard that steve hughes and other tech had contacted mitsubishi regarding this problem and they do not know what is causing it.now steve hughes requested that we contact this company who is mitsubishi dealer for a second opinion.we did this and spoke with erin he suggested that we tried to do several things first like checking all inputs and jacks and s video.so we did we contacted erin back he said that he would need to come to our house and it will take 3 hrs to get here and three hours to get back but he rather have the tv shipped to them and that we need to find out what steve hughes from hhgreg would like to do since they will be paying for it. so we have been calling steve hughes from hhgregg and leaving messages over and over on his voice mail and he has failed to responded.the last time we heard from steve hughes back on aug 18 2005 telling us that mitsubishi requested one of there dealers come and look at our tv.so far it we haven't heard from steve hughes or anybody from hhgregg.remind you this has been going on since 2004.the problems is this is not handle professionally and steve hughes is not returning our calls.it shouldn't take this long to get our tv fixed or replaced.we love our tv and just want our tv fixed so we can enjoy it.i even made another called to steve hughes oct 25 2005 again his secretary said he is not in and gave us his voice mail.so right now i have tried to work with steve hughes as well as other people including steve cox which he is now working in another state.so i'm going to contact bbb.
