Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
IN 1996, My Husband and I decided to take out a second mortgage on our home. I had been very ill for over four years at that time and we needed to consolidate some bills to make our payments less.(at least this is what we thought)

We had had two different loans with them and paid them off before we were hit with the outrageous %rates (21% plus).

Before returning to their facility, My husband had worked out all the details and we were getting a loan for 20,000.00.

He wanted me to come with him to listen to everything so I could help them to write the checks to the companies to pay off.

When we were at our appointment. The representative left the room for short periods of time.

He finally came back in and said that they would also need my signature on the loan.

This did not make since to me because I did not work and I was also not on the loan for the house.(just the deed)

They kept on insisting that it would build my credit up, since we had good credit the years before, it would only help us.

I was reluctant for some reason to sign, but I was starting to feel bad and the 30 minute meeting had turned into two hours by now. I went ahead and signed.

The rate changed when we received our first bill and we would call and they told us we were under a flexible rate.

This is not what the original contract had read.

Somewhere in all the hussle and bussle, We too received a different type of contract as the report I read earlier about the other HFC company and the employee that told the person that he had them by the balls.(sorry about the language)

This only tells me that they are liars and up to no good.

We paid on this loan for about four years plus and it never has went under 20,000.00.

Unfortunately we were foreclosed on our house in 2000 by another company called Chase Mortgage whom also is a Rip Off Company.

They promised us a forebearance plan due to the fact of my illness and our good credit.

When it all came down to the end. They lied and took our home.

We are still stuck with the second mortgage and they did give HFC some of the money from the auction that was profit, but the loan now stands at 22,000.00.

There is no way we can repay this. We now have a miracle child and I am still unable to work.

No matter how much we pay, we will never get ahead.

My husband could of filed bankruptcy, but since I signed the form. I would have to too. I just filed 12 years ago and have excellent credit now.

I don't know what else to do. It took me a long time to get the bankruptcy off.

This company has a class action law suit against them for these types of scams and we have listed as part of the act.

My husband is in law enforcement and they are threatening to garnish his wages. They frown on this type of thing and he will probably lose his 16 year job, if we do not find a way to take care of this.

We are paying for something that we don't even have anymore and they are not willing to meet us half way after making payments on time of $500.00 per month for over 4 years.

They could write this off, since we no longer own the home etc..

This company is a complete heart breaker and will destroy you and you will owe them for all of your life.

Please stay away or read from them.

However, There is a Household credit card that I have and it is a wonderful company. It is not affiliated with the HFC that we are dealing with.

Respectfully,

Julie
