My tx1000 just died, and after reading the black screen reports everywhere else this sseems like a no brainer! HP should recall ASAP or face major lawsuit!! This is a very consistant defect, and after exhausting all HP fixes, checking hard drive, and replacing RAM, its obvious that my CPU is also suffering from some sort of motherboard defect.

I just wanted to put my complaint out there too. I purchased my tx1000 for grad school 16 days ago and it died last week... 5 days before my thesis was due!! Luckily I'm good with backups, so life goes on, but HP really hosed their customers on this one. This EXACT problem has been happening to too many people for it to be OUR fault...
I will avoiding HP products at all costs in the future!
