Hechts Department Store Refused return of defective watch (with receipt) after 30 days Richmond Virginia
I bought a Nine West watch for my daughter on December 12, 2003 as a Christmas gift. The watch stopped working within 2 weeks. I went to three area Hechts locations over the course of the next 3 weeks to try to find a replacement. After being unsuccessful at finding the exact watch, I decided to return it with a receipt. (She found one she liked as well in the mean time.) I was told by the clerk and the store manager that there was a 30 day return limit on watches. This policy is contrary to their stated customer satisfaction policy and is not displayed in the jewelry department or printed on the receipt. I'm pissed!
