BEWARE THIS AFFORDABLE HEALTH CARE SCAM!!!!!!!!!! I will try to keep this brief. Essentially, upon looking for affordable health care after my husband lost his job we filled out some online quote requests. Very soon started getting calls from salespeople. Since we wanted help with this, we picked up one of the calls and spoke with a very knowledgeable and seemingly helpful person named Mitchell Spears (probably not his real name of course) from the Health Registration Center Of Fort Lauderdale Florida. We were desperate as our insurance selection deadline was the next day and Cobra was too expensive. He sold us a plan through First Health Insurance after verifying our doctor will take this ins. We googled it and saw that yes, he did accept this Insurance, so great! We’re sold a limited plan which excludes maternity, mental health and substance abuse. Also great because none of these would apply. We were told this is how they keep the cost so low (under $600). Great! Then several transfers, second party verification of info etc and we were all set up. We understood we weren’t buying a great plan, but at least it was something. Repricing was how they explained the coverage cost that it was reduced off the retail cost etc. that and no deductible. All too good to be true, but again, we figured yeah there may be some hoops when we need tests etc but at least the big stuff is covered. So we signed up. Within hours email confirmation, site registration etc came and we started that process.

Now all of a sudden the name Liberty Health ACUSA is on the docs and nothing about first health which is a lousy, but at least legit medical ins plan(I think). Come to find out this Liberty Health thing is nothing more than a discount card that is completely useless and unheard of by most drs and pharmacies. It states it will save you anywhere from 5-50% off medical costs. Sooooo we bought and paid for insurance and got bait and switched to a useless minuscule "coupon” card for all intents and purposes. After realizing our mistake we cancelled the transaction and had our bank reissue our credit card just in case. Think about this-when people need the coverage the most is when they sign up. When they are sick is when they try to use this useless program. It is NOT Insurance, not licensed. After cancelling the card, I did call Liberty Health and they knew exactly what I was talking about. They said this happens all the time. WHAT??!!?? How can any of these people sleep at night. Think of the financial ruin of believing you have medical coverage when you don’t and then it’s too late. Also, click on their website.

You will notice it is a Sales job pitch! And look who is on the first page! Leonardo Decaprio from the movie Wolf Of Wall Street or Catch Me If You Can. Whichever one it is, the premise of these films was tricking people and ripping people off. So yes, even the website is one big party of these unconscionable people just laughing at poor suckers in need. So so horrible. We stopped it in time not to fall into financial ruin over non covered medical bills. I only hope this report helps someone else! "Mitchell Spears the "broker”, Andrew from "verification”, Joshua our "agent” - I wish no harm on anyone. If there is such a thing as Karma, be ready for it. Particularly if/when you do have medical insurance needs. Think about what you are doing to people!

I wish to thank the person who took the time to warn others (me) of the mistake I was about to make.  For the first time in 40 years I have no employment and as such, am without health coverage.  Not unique by any means, but new to me.  With funds dwindling, cuts are being made in order to make ends meet, people (I), really need a break at times like these and feeling desparate, are vulnerable as a result of their need.

I need insurance at the lowest monthy premium amount.  I was just about to release my credit card information when I read your report.  Call it karma, call it devine intervention, but your deed helped (saved) me.

Thank you, truely thank you whoever you are.  I pray that you are back on your feet.  I will not forget what you've done.  I will challenge myself, when I get through this time, that I too will be watching out for others in their time of need.

-Mike
