Apparently Roan Communications and it's affiliate's do it again... I was suckered into believing that I would receive a $2,500 credit card from CitiBank for a processing fee of $29.95 in just four to six weeks... Instead I am a member of Hartford Auto Club for an annual fee of $99.00.

After the longest run around I have ever received I finally got a hold of someone at Roan Communication to cancel the automatic debit... Will it work? I'll know on the 18th of this month.

However, I am in the process of closing and re-opening bank accounts wich is a major pain in the butt just to be safe. The only reason I agreed to the charges was two weeks prior at my campus I filled out a CitiBank application for credit. Coincidence? I received the letter of denile yesterday... I received my auto club membership today.

This prompted my girlfriend to researching Roan and Hartford ultimatley leading to this Rip-Off report. I think I caught these guys in time and hopefully aside from the inconvience of closing my bank account and the loss of $29.99, nothing else will follow.

If anyone out there can offer up any additional information, or if there is a list for a class action suite I can join to get my 30 bucks back

They Got Me Anyway

After reading up on this group of buttheads who steal money from bank accounts, and reaching a carbon based life form in order to "cancel" membership, I was still victimized by those affiliated with Roan Communications.

After I received my cancellation code and was repeatedly assured that I would be charged nothing, I went to the ATM a withdrew evrything in my account.

Today when I checked my account on-line I was hit for a withdraw for 99.95 and 59.95 at two NSF charges. I contacted my bank again and my account is frozen and under investigation.

How in the hell can these guys get away with this crap?
