Recall 17T017000 for Harbor Freight tires, Innova Ultra runner. I purchased a Harbor Freight utility trailer Item # 62647 in April 2017 along with spare tire Item # 61520. These were purchased online with home address, email and phone number included. In April 2018 I tried to get some information on the trailer from HF website (item specifications), but all the trailers were no longer listed. After a web search I found out on my own as to why and it was about the recall. I went to the Sierra Vista, AZ store to get replacement tires, but told they haven't received any yet (recall information said they would be available in December 2017/January 2018, it's now April 2018 by this point). In June 2018 I went to the Sierra Vista store again and they said they had them. I happened to have the trailer with me that day shopping at the adjacent store, so in the parking lot I jacked up the trailer and took the tires off and took them inside. The manager then said that they didn't have any of the 5 lug tires like mine, only the 4 lug tires, so I had to put the tires back on the trailer with no information about when they would be in stock for replacement. As of August 2018, I still have yet to be notified (although HF has my address, email, and phone from the online order meaning it is in their database), the notification letter found online states that Harbor Freight will notify owners and will replace the tires free of charge and to file a complaint "if you believe that HFT failed to remedy the issue described above without charge and within 60 days of the date of this notice" which this notice has been in effect for almost a year dated November 24, 2017. Since I have yet to be notified, although HFT has my contact information, and have yet to receive the replacement tires, Harbor Freight is placing consumers at risk. I purchased this online because at the time, the Sierra Vista store did not exist, it was opened after the recall. The closest store at the time was over an hour away. It would have been impossible for me to find out about the recall had I not tried to look up some information on the trailer. My concern is that not only do I not have replacement tires for nearly a year, but how many other owners are unknowingly driving with recalled tires placing everyone at risk? My follow on question, besides filing a complaint on safercar.gov, which is already done, who do I contact to find out first off why I have yet to be notified, why the replacement tires are not available, and how to get tires without consistently contacting the store to inquire if they are in stock yet?
