Complaint Review: Happy Paws Dachshunds/Jamie Wing - Nationwide

 The Breeder, Jamie Wing of Happy Paws formally known as Secret Valley Dachshunds, sold me a Black and Tan dapple little girl that I paid for in full prior to her being 8 weeks on August 14. The purchase price included UTD on shots, a new crate and vet health certificate and $350 for shipping. We spoke several times about when she would ship her and she would give me the excuse that the airlines will not ship with high temperatures over 80 degrees. Finally she told after a month had gone by and after several times I sent her a 10 day forecast with the weather being less than 80 degrees, she said she booked a flight on Friday Sept 16th. I cleared my schedule, losing two important clients and then that day she told me the weather changed and she couldn't send her. She told me that for another $140 she could have her shipped that Sunday or Monday. At this time I did not feel comfortable with paying another $140 but I told her I would go get my puppy. She did offer to let me have first pick on another litter but I declined. Another Breeder told her about Jordin Duffy who's husband works for United and she gets free tickets. Jamie arranged with her to carry my puppy in her lap on Sept 26th. Jamie told me she only charges $200 for this service. Jordin contacted me and told me she had my puppy, the night of the 25th and that she needed to be bathed because she reeked. I met Jordin at Charlotte, NC airport on the 27th, 4 hours from my home. Jordin handed me my puppy and a Breeder health record. I asked her about my crate and she told me that Jamie instructed her to use one of hers. I rode 4 hours back, took 6 hours because I drove thru flood conditions with her in my lap because I didn't get the crate that was promised. After not hearing from Jamie, I asked her about the difference of $150 and when I would get it and she told me she wasn't giving it back because she took care of my puppy an extra month. I have called three airlines to inquire about the weather restrictions and all three states there are no restrictions because pets are transported in pressurized, air conditioned and they only require a vet health certificate and the cost from Washington to NC is $275. I also called United Airlines about riding with someone and the puppy has to be UTD on shots, 12 weeks and have a rabies vaccine and the cost is $125. My puppy was over 14 weeks, only had NEXPAR at 6 and 8 weeks...not even sure on expiration date on those. If she didn't meet Jordin, there's no telling if I would have even gotten her. I spent $342 on vetting her and had to start her on a new set of puppy vaccinations because she didn't complete her series of shots and I am worried sick that she may have been exposed to something. I also found out that the crate to board the plane was the crate that Jordin carries her dog in that has some kind of infection and is in meds. I have screen shots and proof of everything...after reporting this to an admin I was removed from the Dachshund Puppies and Breeders page and only response from Jamie was a no refund policy she took a picture of from an invoice. She never provided a crate that she said she bought, my dog was not utd on shots and she lied about why she couldn't send her. She also did not provide a vet health certificate. This is very upsetting since I trusted Jamie completely and thought she was the one person that was an ethical breeder. No ethical breeder does this...at least she could have finished her shots so that she was safe from getting exposed to something. I disputed with Paypal for only the money for the crate, vet cert and difference in shipping. They were provided with all screenshots and communication and gave her 10 days to respond...they heard no response after trying to contact her and refunded my money I paid to her. I am now being told this may be a puppy mill situation.
