I believe I know what bay mare your are talking about. Hannah's younger sister (what is she 8 may be?) ran her at a few shows this spring and won alot in good competition. To me that says the horse is a bit above "green broke".
It is up to the buyer to determine if the horse is going to work for them or not, everyone has a different opinion of whats truely broke. What happened to the buyer's responsiblity when making purchases? Or vet checks? I mean a smart horseman would be able to determine if the horse is suitable and should be knowledgeable enough to get a vet check to determine soundness or other issues.
I sure hope you reported to the police about the tack. Insurance fraud is pretty serious and if you don't file a report stating what you have you can also be charged. You should be able to prove it came from them by showing the tack and the emails as you say you have both.
what type of horse experience do you have? How many years? What do you use your horses for? I really wish they put people's real names on here that file these types of accusations. I want to make sure my horse never ends up with such a "knowledgeable horseman" such as yourself.

The Koch's sold you, a self-professed beginner, a horse that you did not click with. Which to a more experienced horse person might mean a horse that was not beginner appropriate. In selling the horse to you after such a thorough trial it could be considered implicit that they were presenting the horse as beginner broke.
But that horse did not work out.
And you purchased another horse from them. That you love so much. That is so perfect for you. That you currently have listed for sale.
Did they find the papers on your perfect horse? The ad was not conclusive. Your ad.
The one you are advertising for sale for $2000.
The horse world is smaller than many seem to think. The truth will out.
We did report our concerns to the police. We did provide them with the proofs of our purchases.
We had originally attempted to contact the Koch's. We did not receive a reply.
Insurance is expensive enough without people using it fraudulently to maintain their hobbies.

Karma is a female dog.....If what you are saying is true, I hope you reported it to the police, there is a reason we all pay as much as we do for insurance.......What goes around comes around...
If what your saying isn't true, then you shouldn't say it, however, again, if it is, it should be reprted to the police.

Okay first of all, if you have concerns with someone this is not the place to conduct them. I'm guessing you've never taken your concerns to the family in question? No of course not because then you would have to stand up to the accusations you are making.
Also assuming that a farm has only one type of item is crazy...we have multiple saddles that are the same as well as other tack that we have duplicates of. I've seen the ads put up when these items are stolen and there weren't pictures of everything included so I'm curious as to how you think that yours are the exact items? Not that this is your business really anyways how this person was in possession of stolen tack. By the way, if said person had proved it wasn't stolen...do you really think she would have been in jail???
We are good friends with the family and I can assure you they've only had 3 bay horses for sale in the last 6 months and all were clearly up for sale as NOT KID BROKE, and none of which were priced over $1000...so realistically this is not an issue that should concern you at all. Anyways just not quite sure what bay kid-broke mare you were alluding to.
As far as Bill Dorman goes...I have yet to see him have anything to do with selling their animals or things. Be careful when you are throwing around accusations.
Remember to ask yourself if you would want your name slandered over a misunderstanding...and if you are a friend of the woman in question who was in possession of stolen tack then shame on you for posting things you truly have no knowledge about.
