To Whom It May Concern:
This letter is being sent to inform you that after numerous attempts by H. Forrest Roofing, we continue to have old leaks and new ones on three different levels of our home. The leaks have caused substantial interior damage which has been reported to our homeowners insurance company.
Our latest damage happened last week when we noticed that the flashing on the top front of our home was gone, exposing old and rotted wood. We have noticed that none of the flashing was screwed into the wood structure of the home. And we also have noticed several layers of old roofing material.
Another roofing contractor has suggested that we do not have a new roof at all but 45 pound tar paper on top of numerous old layers of roofing material. This is in conflict with the GAF warranty we received from Pat Scarpello and Doug Langley which states that the material is rubberoid and guaranteed for 12 years. Also, in our seller's home disclosure form it states that the roof is new and that there was only one previous layer of roofing material. It also states that the GAF warranty #82755 was tranferrable to us.
We need you to come and correct these problems immediately. If the leaks continue, we will have no other option but to take legal action. We feel that we have given every opportunity to you to correct these roof problems.
