My mother has been getting junk mail at her address for my deceased neice for at least 2 years now from such companies as GTE and AARP. For one, the GTE motto is We Bring Good Things To Life. My mother, very upset & offended, circled this portion of the junk mail, and wrote I told you once before this person is deceased & mailed it back to GTE.

As for AARP, my neice would only be 23 years old if she were alive today!! How can my mother get my neices name removed from mailing & phone lists to her home. These junk mail and marketing calls are causing emotional pain to my mother.

AARP for ObamaCare several times, clearly tying them together.

Further proof that they were working in concert can be found in recently released emails between the White House and AARP operatives.  As the emails show, AARP threw their tremendous power behind the legislation despite the fact they were getting calls overwhelmingly against it.

In fact, on September 20, 2012, Kimberly A. Strassel of the Wall Street Journal wrote:

"Thanks to just-released emails from the House Energy and Commerce Committee, we now know that AARP worked through 2009-2010 as an extension of a Democratic White House, toiling daily to pass a health bill that slashes $716 billion from Medicare, strips seniors of choice, and sets the stage for rationing.  We know that despite AARP's awareness
that its seniors overwhelmingly opposed the bill, the nonpartisan organization' chose to serve the president's agenda.

The 71 pages of emails show an AARP management taking orders from the White House, scripting the president's talking points, working to keep its board in line' and pledging a fealty to the cause.'  Seniors deserve to know all this, as AARP seeks to present itself as neutral in this presidential election."

AARP refuses to take a formal position on the Independent Payment Advisory Board ("rationing board") portion of ObamaCare and even defends some aspects of the board.  Given the negative impact that the IPAB will have on seniors, this is unbelievable (but sadly, not unexpected).

AMAC is against the harsh provisions in ObamaCare that gives the Federal government complete control of our healthcare.  It destroys the best healthcare system in the world, takes 716 billion dollars out of Medicare, and has the power to restrict and ration our medical treatment.

AMAC is fighting to keep our right to receive treatment from our doctors without the interference of Federal bureaucrats.

Big government experiments like the "stimulus" and ObamaCare have only increased the uncertainty and instability, and are core reasons for the persistently high unemployment rate and why the household incomes of Mature Americans have declined so much.

It only work with main mailing address, it won't do on market offsite office.  The market offsite buy mailing list from other head office. Most market offsite renew the mailing list every month. So it take any where from four to six month to stop market mailing. Only main mailing list that need to be taken off. For junk mailing of AARP, AARP payed to market offsite to mail these, so you need to contact the AARP to void the mailing list. Use letter, not telephone, to ask them to remove from list.

Phone call will not help much. Try sent them with Post Office "Certificate of Mailing" with letter and explain the problem also notes about you will file the sue (check with lawyer first for layout reading) if not resovle in three months from date of mail send. They will put the red flag faster. That is how I did for my mother to stop all AARP packages.

#7Consumer Suggestion

I do know this can be very upsetting. I take these calls on a daily basis. There is a simple way to stop these mailings. Call the mail AARP # . Press complaints, or a general agent will help. All they have to do is a "SUPPRESSION". It must use the exact name and address. It takes approx 4-6 weeks to completely get out of the system. I do this on a daily basis. Its simple, if you follow the directions. KEEP THE ORIGINAL LETTER- it has special codes I am assuming AARP uses an outside marketing company that doesnt cross reference with their system. Hope this helps,
