Complaint Review: gryphon creative services Inc. - Malibu California

In November of 1998 I called a 1-888# for a business opportunity in Entrepreneur magazine.The ad was very nicely done and said get your share of the billion dollar internet industry;make big money fast; turnkey websites;proven marketing programs;with a website address at the bottom that read [email protected]

I called and spoke to a Bob Diberado;the letter he sent me along with pages of claims of billions of dollars to be made with them and other promotional garbage said that he was the "Chief accounts manager" shortly after that I called him back and decided to purchase the gold plan at a cost of 2975.00 he told me at the very leaast it would return 10,000 to 20,000/month;it was payment for links; deep search engine registration ;posting in relevant news groups Etc. so he wanted the money sent fed-ex overnight so i sent the check after that I received a contract for the gold plan .

Then in December I received a call from a jan sommers who I never heard of before saying she was the ad director and that my web site which was suppose to be free with the purchase of the gold plan was useless without the proper advertising for which it would cost at the least 5750.00 she guaranteed at the worst scenario it would return at least 8000.00 so again they wanted the money fed-ex and I sent it received no contract with the 5750.00 payment but I gave her the benefit of the doubt;later that month I called her to complain that the casino was lousy on it and she said they would switch casinos for me.

So I received something to sign from a vegas world casino a separate company reportedly .Jan said to be in an email which I lost when I switched online services "just wait until all the money starts rolling in"Did not hear anything for months and months but I figured I would give it sometime;then I received a letter from Vegas world stating that they were cutting their relationship with gryphon creative services because Gryphon was not doing the advertising they were supposed to be doing.

I called the bbb and filed a complaint;emailed jan sommers over a hundred times she never responded until I sent one with very foul language calling her a crook because she told me that if i retracted my complaint with the bbb that she would refund my money minus 300.00 for the website (which was suppose to be free in the first place)this was sometime in June of 99;Jan summers said that her lawyer was sending me papers to sign to get a refund;never received anything;she would not answer my callls and when i called with a fake name and got thru to her she told me that the papers were in the mail so it was uselees to even talk to her. After the bbb finally got ahold of her she told me that the only reason she agreed to give me a refund was that I was a victim of the mess that was going on at her company?After many calls to the bbb and they called her repeatedly she finally told them in september of 99 that she was broke and would have to make payments to me of 350.00 a month minus 800.00 (it keeps going up;the money that she says she wants to keep for the supposedly free website;and that if i did not agree that i would have to take her to court.

Now I am in PA and she is in California so she knows I dont have the resources to do anything to her.The bbb told me "you're screwed".I have written to countless government agencies and none of them will help me; I cant sue in PA and all she has to say is that she is broke and she is off the hook.

Also I called their 1-888# today Oct.13 and gave a false name to see if they were still scheming people to buy their turnkey casinos and the man told me (they got someone different now his name was alvin or something)he said with the basic package which he quoted at 3200.00 that I would make at the very least 11,000 to 20,000 a month conservatively.

He said also that the company has been in business 8 years and they were solid and were a member of every bbb and government agency.When I initially called the bbb they said they were in business 5 years and only had two complaints which were solved to the customers satisfaction (that is why I felt a little more comfortable sending the money in the first place because of the bbb)

The Malibu chamber of commerce when I wrote to them says they don't exist?. When I called the 1-888-247-4334 # with a different name and mailing address supposedly they are going to send me info in the mail and I asked him for financial statements about the company;because Jan summers said she is in financial trouble(what did she do with my money)

Nobody will help me get them for mail fraud or any type of fraud.This government stinks!I wish that I could hear from some more people that were scammed from them but nobody was probably dumb enough to send them 8725.00.Out of frustration today I sent her another email stating I would settle for 6500.00 just to get some of my money back out of desparation but I am going to email her again stating that I want the full amount back.

It won't do any good and I am probably hoping for a miracle but they frauded me good and at the very least should be stopped from frauding others.Anybody who can help me in this will be rewarded.updating this report I called and a shocked Jan summers (who is never there any other time)tells me that I'll have to go into reorganization with the others?I said some explitives to her and she hung up on me.How can they still be selling these supposedly turnkey businesses and have 1-888#'s when she says they are in financial trouble that is fraud to the maximum; and every government consumer group says(if they answer the phone)there is nothing they can do.Please help [email protected] Update 10/18/99-received an unbelieveable report by email from the bbb today that stated that Gryphon creative services has a SATISFACTORY BUSINESS RECORD;how can they report this as satisfactory when the supervisor of the bbb herself told me "you're screwed"; because Jan Summers even lied to her numerous times. This is illogical.I emailed the bbb to explain but they have not responded as of yet,I will update as I receive their reply.update11/17/99-the company still won't respond to e-mails;I have put a complaint into the postal inspectors for mail fraud over two months ago and heard nothing.There was a person who told me about the dolins on a radio staion;the numbers he gave me and the email address don't work if you read this could you please tell me the name of the radio staion they are on so I can try again;everywhere you go is a dead end.my e-mail address has changed to [email protected]
