Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
Greenscape was formerly Nuemann Homes, which claimed bankruptcy a few years ago.  They are back building homes with dishonest sales people.  Ken Benson showed us a model we were interested in.  We were ready to buy, had the lot picked out, excited.  He strung us along for 2 weeks, saying the person we need to talk to is on vacation.  He never called when he said he would, we always had to call him.  After 2 weeks of this nonsense, my husband called and asked what is going on with the house we want to buy and Ken said he sold it!  Turns out he had someone buying that house when we went to see it, but he never told us.  Just kept making excuses about why we cant start the process.  He lied to us for 2 weeks and then tried to sell us a different house, on a smaller lot, the price was more and it wasnt even the model we wanted.  He tried the bait and switch.  My husband told him we wont spend over $500,000 with a dishonest business man and not to waste our time with his bull sh*t.  We  couldnt figure out why he had to lie about it.  If he wouldve been honest from the beginning, we wouldve been more than happy to look at their other houses.  But after he lied to us for 2 weeks, not calling us, making excuses, we would not buy anything from him.
I sent a letter to Ken Neumann, the owner of Greenscape/Neumann Homes,  shortly after that explaining the whole thing.  Ive never heard back from him.  Very poor business pratices.  What kind of owner doesnt care that a rep lost a sale of over a half million dollars, because he is unethical and dishonest?  A bad one.

BUYER BEWARE.

Greenscape Homes is in receipt of your correspondence postmarked 7/20/12.  Please note that on 8/3/12 the CEO of Greenscape Homes, Ken Neumann, has personally responded to your letter.  As is standard in business, communication that arrives via US Postal Service can take 7-10 business days to process.

Unfortunately, this is a situation that was beyond our Sales Teams control and its important that you understand the difficult position Ken Benson was facing.  From your letter, it appears that your discussion with Ken Benson regarding the possibility of Greenscape Homes purchasing your existing home, as you bought one of our new homes, fell during the period when Ken Neumann was indeed on a family vacation and did not return until July 12th.  Greenscape Homes is one of the few builders that will even consider purchasing an existing home as they sell one of their new homes, and thus the only person at Greenscape Homes that is authorized to approve this type of transaction is Ken Neumann.  His absence made it impossible for Ken to confirm Greenscape Homes interest in purchasing your home, and put him at a disadvantage while trying to serve you as best he could.

With regard to your comment that the home was already sold prior to your visit to the property, this is inaccurate.  Although it may seem impossible that new home sales move that quickly in this market, occasionally they really do. According to Kens sales records, his first conversations with you regarding this model occurred on Monday, July 2nd,  at which time this home was absolutely on the market & completely available for purchase by any party.  According to our signed Purchase Agreement on this home, an agreement was not reached between the buyer and Greenscape Homes until Tuesday, July 10th at which point it was no longer considered an active property.  We often have several parties that view and may show interest in the same model at once, however, it is the customer who is without a contingency, has the best offer, and is ready to sign the contract who typically secures the home.

We pride ourselves on bringing enormous value to the market with superb product and features resulting in beautiful homes, with excellent designs located in premier communities.  Ken Benson was not trying to bait and switch you to another property but was simply doing his job by selling our homes, while continuing to service you by providing alternate options in your price range and location for your consideration.

This being said, we remain committed to serving our customers and have 13 new homes being developed within our Atwood Subdivision, just blocks away from the area in which you were interested in building.  These properties will be coming to the market within the next month or so along with several other properties also available in the surrounding areas as well.

For more information on our properties, visit our website at www.greenscapehomes.com or contact our Sales Team directly.
