Green Tree Financial Group This company is a complete fraud/scam we were contacted by them via telemarketing told us we qualified for a loan modification and that they could help us. After sending them 2540 via check we never heard from them since the 26th of February, we have contacted our bank and they never contacted them. After doing numerous searches I found out they are not even able to do modification via BBB they don't have a real estate license to do so. We have contacted our local police dept to file a report in fact I will say if you have been contacted by them please to the same. We also contacted the local police in CA and they have had another complaint please call them so they can help us all get our money back and shut them down. I have done a mass search on this company and they are just fraud, they take your money and you never hear from them again they cannot help you only your local bank can with any modification. I hope I can help the next person who is scammed on what to do as I have done. Good Luck! Newport Beach California
We were also scammed out of money by Green Tree Financial Group located in CA, please contact your local police department and also the Law Enforecement in CA (949) 644-3717 they already have my complaint as well as another person they have scammed out of thousands of dollars. Also file a complaint with the BBB they don't even have a real estate license to even be solicting us over the phone as I found out on the BBB.org site in San Diego. Our bank is working with the fraud department to try to retrieve our money as well as our local police, there is also a site to go to make a complaint with the FBI as well to let them know what happened to you and if they see alot of the same stuff they sure will investigate it and shut these people down. It has been over a week going on 2 and we did no call backs when we leave messages, I even tried faxing paper to get them to contact me nothing. I don't know how these people live with themselves waking up everyday to see who they can scam next and than get away with it. I also contacted the person who I sent my mail through and placed a complaint with them so they have it on file. Do whatever it takes we have and I hope we get somewhere with it may take some time but the patience will pay off I am sure. Call your local State Attorneys office as well let everyone know that you can. We were contacted by Michael Hampton, Sam DeLuca and Gia Hugo as well no one returns your call after they cash your check you send.

I have been in contact with the state's attorney office working this case against Greentree Financial, please give Bethany Offutt a call she would like to speak to you on this matter as well as anyone else there contacted by this company from the Maryland Office.
She can be reached at the number 410-576-6578 I spoke to her Friday and told her about you she told me to reach out to you that she would like to speak with you on this matter.
Good Luck, I continue to contact them every month and so far there are 2 people that have changed their names but have the same numbers that are given out to people.

We are also victims to this scam, have contacted the Newport Police department reguarding this, the ladie said we were victim #21. If anyone has any solutions on how to get are money back please speak up and pass it on.

Hello everyone,
I signed all the required documents over to GreenTree FG including personal information such as SS and a check for $2495, back in April 2014. In the begining Paul Wilson convince me to proceed with the modification, I was introduced to Michael Clay who then assigned Gia Lugo to the pressumed case. Time has gone by and the communication stopped, I cannot reach anyone, the 1800 number is a fake as there are no operators on the line, I live in Chicago and don't know who else to contact.
I filed a claim with the BBB but that will not get me the money I sent to GreenTree FG. Please, if anyone can help me file a claim or if there is any kind of action Lawsuit please, I beg you to reach out to me. I borrowed the money to pay for the "Modification" now, I'm about to loose my car because the rate is killing me. I called NewPort police dpt and left a message for one of the detectives. Let me know if you have further information that can help me get my money back.

I saw your comment from this scam, I have been in contact with the Newport Beach Police they are working the case as we speak. I spoke to detective Camick he is in charge of the case he can be reached at the number below if you would like to add yourself to the list of people 949-644-3681. He was meeting with the district attorneys office today to see how they are going to handle the case.
He let me know the address that the mail is going to is just a drop off as they have already been out to the building. I would like to speak with you but I have done alot of research on this matter and have contacted everyone I could reach out to, to try to get something done and my money back.
Not sure how I can reach you but I do appreciate your help in anyway.
