Gold's Gym Deceptive Contract, ripoff Lying by Salespeople, Turned into Collection Agency rip-off business from hell Boca Raton Florida
I had a 2 year contract with Gold's gym of East Boca Raton, clearly stating the exact date my contract ended. At the ended of the contract, I was paid in full, and I confirmed that the contract was over with a gym clerk both in person & via fax, and went on my merry way. 1 year later a collection agency is calling me asking for $508!! Gold's gym automatically, without any knowledge or permission from me, renewed my contract for another year...never contacted me, and then turns me over to a collection agency! I sent a dispute letter to the collection agency, but they still threatened to put this debt on my perfect credit report, so I had to pay it!! I have been 1. Lied to 2. Deceived 3. Blackmailed (this is what I call it when a collection agency says that even if you don't owe the money, they will put it on your credit report if you don't pay them off). 4. Inconvenienced would be an understatement 5. Hung up on by the gym general manager & the gym bookkeeper. I could go on and on.
A local news station picked the story up for an investigative report, as the anchor had more than 1 person call her with the same problem. This gym is truly the worst business I have EVER done business with. I will be working out for another 40 years, and I will NEVER set foot in another Gold's Gym, nor have they made any acknowledgement that they care about losing my business. I work for a large company, and have shared this problem with everyone within a 10 cube radius.

A local news station picked the story up for an investigative report, as the anchor had more than 1 person call her with the same problem. This gym is truly the worst business I have EVER done business with. I will be working out for another 40 years, and I will NEVER set foot in another Gold's Gym, nor have they made any acknowledgement that they care about losing my business.
