Goen Seminars deceptive ripoff company Cedar Knolls New Jersey
The ad in the Lima News said, Geon Seminars guaranteed your satisfaction or they would return 110% of your fee if you were not satisfied..I had to give my Credit Card info for the reservation. I went to the seminar with the hope of actually quitting smoking. At the end of the hypnosis I knew that I was getting no help from this seminar...
I immediately told the speaker I was not satisfied..He informed me that since I had used a credit card, I would have to contact the home office the next day.....I called and they said I would have to attend 3 more seminars before they would refund my money..However, the only seminars were at least 200 miles away..I then contacted my credit card company to stop payment..They informed me that the dispute was between Goen and me..I called Goen another time and to ask for only the money I paid...Not the 110% like they had advertised..I was told a supervisor would call me....
I got no such call..In order to keep my good credit with my dredit card company I had to pay for this...I believe the program may help some people..However, it did not help me at all..In fact the speaker gave us a small recess just before the actual hypnosis and told us if we felt we wanted to smoke at this time, it was OK. This is when many of the attendees agreed this was just a fraud and how dumb could we be to even attend this..I am writing this in hopes that if I help save at least one person from being ripped off the fee of $59.00, it will be of some satisfaction to me...Now that I live near a large city in Florida I intend on checking the newspapers and when I find Goen is coming to town I plan to inform the media about this and also to be in the lobby where the seminar is to take place.....

I am like a "walking advertisement" for GOEN seminars. I've placed several people together with them for the seminars. It's now over two years since taking the seminar and I AM TRULY A NON-SMOKER. I am quoting my written testimonial to GOEN below, and would be pleased to speak favorably about them to ANYONE.
"I Complained After the Seminar...and Quit After 32 Years!!!"
I took your seminar during the 2nd week, February 2001...had smoked for 32 years, 2 packs a day...I lied constantly to others about how much I'd smoked. I'd never even slowed down and thought it an impossibility to quit. After the seminar, I came up to the speaker and complained that I thought his talk was useless, but I at least assured him I'd walk out and not smoke for 1/2 hour. Bottom line...haven't smoked 'even a puff' since the seminar...
The other day I needed to light something here in the house and couldn't even find a match. I've also gone through some major "down" and "up" times, on a personal level, since that time, but not once had the thought of smoking even entered my mind. I TRULY AM A NON-SMOKER...
I don't even know what you did at the seminar to make me quit, but whatever you did...
THANK YOU...by the way, I'm now doing great at my new hobby...rollerblading. Hope it's not as dangerous as smoking...hahaha Thanks again,
