 My Husband and I contacted GM FINANCIAL concerning a payment arrangement and the payment arrangment was accepted to the term of a certain day to have payments there. We asked the repersenative wil it be any isdues or problems with our acvout duecto tjis arrangment, SHE STATED NO IT WANT BE, but it will if payment is not received as agreed. So as always I check my email once a week and that is Saturday. Because my email is strictly for business purposes only. So if I have to get back with someone of importance, that is done that day or first thing Monday morning. So I received an unexpected email from Ariel Obrien Thursday the 21st @ 6:19 pm an hour and half till they close. So when I did check my email it was message from her and she said to contact her back as soon as possible, but I check my email at my time frame. My emsil acvount is not a social network, only if it job related or personal business. But the email that was sent to me was not mentioned with the repersenative or an option for us at thst time we spoke with the Rep. So by me making the proper arrangments to avoid things going on my credit report. Ms. Ariel Obrien or someone else took it upon themselves to place a 60 day late hard copy on our credir reports. Besides Ms. Ariel Obrien sending me an email a call from her with the options she stated we qualified for would have been a more professional way of doing things and especially after payment arrangments wete already notated in their payment system. I am shocked and upset for her doing this to our credit reports after arrangments were made for the payment. This was so very wrong and if we were not qualifed for the arrangment we should have been told that over the phone. Me and my husband made clear to assure ourselves that our account would not be affected, but that was not true and we asked the repersenative enough times to be clear thst our account want be affected. But she did make clear if the payment was not there as agreed it would affect our account and that to me our credit report, if payment is not there as agreed. We both said okay to that agreement. This was totally wrong and unproffessional. To me it is like the repersenative did not do her job correct. We were not suppose to receive that arrangment. Thank you! Tina K.

It is amazing how engrained this entitlement attitude is in some people.  Where they figure if they say it enough times it must make it true...

 I am not a person that is looking for any special treatments

- Umm...yes you were.  When you were negotiating for them to NOT put a 60 day late on your credit report you are asking them to for "special treatment". 

It is about an agreement that has been establised in every company I know that gives credit. Like a light bill, dish bill or a gas bill.

- Not a single one of those is a company that "gives" credit.  Those in case you were wondering are considered utilities. 

This is about good customers that has paid their responsibilties on time and need a payment arrangement for that cause. Even Judge Judy knows that.

- Yes, when I go looking for legal advice I always follow the daytime Court TV shows.

- Yes let's talk about agreements, such as the original loan agreement you signed.  It stated that you were required to make a specific payment for a specific amount at specific times.  I guarantee you that there was nothing in that original agremement you signed that stated that you only had to pay when you could.  I can guarantee you that there was nothing in that agreement that said they are required to do any sort of "arrangements".  I can also guarantee you that what was in there was a list of concequences if you FAIL to meet your obiligation.  Such as reporting you to the credit reporting agencies. 

So before you talk about agreements realize that the only one who seems to be breaking any agreement is you.

- Ding..Ding..Ding..we have a winner.  You claim you were not expecting an e-mail or phojne call. So even if they had called you, I would bet that you would have let it go to Voice Mail.  Then not pick up your Voice mail and claim that they should have kept callling you until you answered.

 I was giving that arrangement because I pay my bills. Not because I was a non-payment customer.

- A customer that pays their bills would not be 60 days late.

So again even though you keep chanting.."I am a good customer".."I pay my bills"...that doesn't make it so.

Good luck and hopefully one day you will get out of this mindset.

Oh and by the way..no I do not now or have I ever worked for this company.

 It was YOU who failed to make a payment on time. As such, it was YOU who caused the correct submission on your credit report. The fact you have 1000+ excuses in typical sub prime fashion is meaningless. I just can't wait for the retort: "You guys must work for them."

 My response is to Robert. You have no idea of who I am and you people have this mind set of everyone is trying to get something for nothing and I refuse to appreciate your unentitled comment. Are you an Employee of gmc financial? Are you a judge to my entitled situation? I am not a person that is looking for any special treatments. It is about an agreement that has been establised in every company I know that gives credit. Like a light bill, dish bill or a gas bill. They have these things set in place for customers like myself and others that pay their bill, but something comes up that is more important at the time. Examples: someone with diabetes and need to pay and get that to live. This is when you use this option when you have a serious situation. This is not about entitlements. This is about good customers that has paid their responsibilties on time and need a payment arrangement for that cause. Even Judge Judy knows that. I feel that your comment was not entitled, because you don't know what you are talking about. What happen to my husband and I was uncalled for. When you make an agreement I am supposev to do my  end of the bargin just as they should have. If I was not entitled for this arrangment, it never would have been granted. But it is always someone in every company that make decision when a decision has already been made, on at least my situation. It is called check your notes before you make a decision. Finally, I am entitled to to check my email as always, I have no certain time frame to check my emails. If the young lady needed to speak to me a phone call would have been the proffesional approach. Sending a email and also a phone call would have been two attempts to try and reach someone. But an email is not an excuse and state I did contact you. Everyone does not check their emails everyday and especially when your email is jobs or a business matter. But this kind of matter I should have received a phone call. We were not expecting an email or phone call when had already made the appropriate arrangements.. I really don't really appreciate any negative comments and yes I have spoken to supervisor on this matter and me making arrangements was approved and there should not have been anything reported to my credit, because I was approved for the arrangement. Now how was I entitled. I was giving that arrangement because I pay my bills. Not because I was a non-payment customer. Thank you!

While trying to decipher this report was a bit of a trick.  It really is nothing more than another "sub-prime" borrower with an entitlement attitude that makes them think that the rules only apply to everyone else and they can make up their own rules.

In your case, you were 60+ days late, decided to call them up and make some arrangements to see if they will be gracious enough to allow you to keep their car.  In this apparently one represenative gave you a proposal for some payment arrangements. 

But then because you wanted to make sure you see any email from them because they are important you gave them your "business"  email address.  Only to find out that even though it is your business and may be someone who is urgently trying to get a hold of you we find out that you will just check it on your own schedule because it isn't social media(no it's BUSINESS).  Apparently totally skipping over the last 90 minutes they may be open on Thursday and an entire Friday.   Well what ever you do NOT post your business name here because someone with this lack of urgency attitude when it comes to their business is NOT someone I want to deal with, and would do what ever I could to avoid your business.

But then let us get to this 60 day negative posting.  Are you saying that had they said they would still report you 60 days late that you would not have made the arrangements?  Would you have tried to continue to negotiate to keep this 60 day late off your report?  Because if that was the case, realize that they are under ZERO obligation to do that.  In fact at 60 days many finance companies would just outright reposess your car.  And don't think that they are worried about any money they "loose" by reposessing it and it is better for them to just try and "work it out".  Because there is a wonderful thing called a lawsuit and they can just sue you for any losses and per the contract you signed the judge would put a judgement against you.  Not to mention that if you think a 60 day late payment is bad...just wait until you see what a reposession does to your credit.

You have a misunderstanding of the reporting duties of the creditor.  The creditor reports your actual payment history, not the history of payment arrangements.  From your post you never mentioned actually making the payments, just the arrangement to make up payments that you had missed.  I don't work for GM Financial, but I know that the payment history reported is based on payments you actually made.  Look up a couple of legitimate credit education type websites so you completely undertand your responsiblities and the responsibilities of the creditors.
