Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
This is in response to my first posting since I could not get my rebuttal to work.

1st off I will not post my full name for all the internet community to see.

2ndly, I was also getting rims at the time so I had my mind on aluminum alloy rims once I re-read my complaint I had already submitted it hence, I could not correct the wording.

3rdly The Nissan garage told me the brakes were cheap and that I should have been told they were not a fit for my car and also should have been told that my brakes were not rotated (Brakes Plus did not tell me this)

4thly this whole fiasco did indeed happen to me and I do not appreciate this whole thing. Even if management did want to do something about this I don't want it. I want nothing more to do with a dishonest company. The End!

Whatever the terminologies are that you would like to use. I have always been told it was called "rotating the brakes" but whatever terminologies you would like to use, the bottom line was that my rotors needed to be ground or "grinding my rotors." Is this better terminologies for you? Anyhow, the point I am trying to make is that Brakes Plus tried to jack up the price by saying that I had more problems than there truely were with my new car and that in fixing the one problem I needed (my brakes), The kept me at bay for 6 months so they could get more money out of me by saying it was under guarantee when in actuality I had to pay for more stuff like bleeding my brakes and such.

To rotate brakes would simply cuase problems

I have heard of rotating tires. To rotate brakes would simply cuase problems. The pads after being used form to the shape of the rotor. If you rotate the brake pads the pads will not match the rotor wear and make noise and brake poorly. The only thing you could do is replace pads with new ones if the rotors are reasonably flat and not over heated.(blue or dark in color)Rotors can be turned to make them smooth but usually only one time. If the rotors become too thin they overheat and or cannot brake properly becuase of brake fade. The pads and rotors must be thick enough to work properly. This person needs to read up on brakes some to talk or communicate these ideas clearly. ASE certified Technician

I know you are just trying to get me to put my name so that you know who I am. I have never worked for Brakes Plus before, I am a woman. I have never even heard of Derek's auto repair. Is that in Pueblo, CO? All I can say is that it helps to have big brothers who have been mechanics before because that is where I have learned my mechanics from. If you are so desperate to know my name my first name is Ellie. Elie is a short nickname everyone just calls me. (So now do I get a date or what?) Oh and I do not work for Saturn of Pueblo. If you'd like I can give you the names of other people (many of them) who do have the same complaints from Brakes Plus, (took their car in for one thing then all of a sudden every problem under the sun and their grandmother's problem was wrong with their car) just to jack up the price a little as well as (Brakes Plus) taking advantage of those who are not, shall we say, mechanically knowledgable about cars!

Elie... Your unique name lets me know who you are... You have been around the automotive field. You have worked for Advance Auto Parts and were FIRED. You have worked for Derek's auto repaired and were FIRED. I don't think you are a credible person to complain about any repair shop. I have to ask two questions: Why would you take your car to a repair shop when you are a tech? Did your new employer (Saturn of Pueblo) know what type of person you are?

2nd rebuttal, You have to say what you have to say because you are the manager.

I did some researching on you and your company and you people DO have a lot of complaints and you are one of the regional managers. So, of course you have to speak well and good about the company you are working for. But let me tell you, I once again had to take my car to brakes plus, actually, it was without my knowledge. I had recently purchased a Stratus and the dealer told my friend (who had my car that day) to go to Breaks Plus to fix a nail that was in my front driver's side tire. If I had known that my car was referred or "to be taken to" Brakes Plus I would have put a stop to it right then and there. However, my friend ended up taking my car there and this is what happened. They told him it would be taken care of in about 1/2 an hour, he ended up waiting there 2 hours and they still didn't fix the tire he finally got mad and left. He stated to me that the workers were all just standing around laughing and joking and there weren't any cars they were working on when they could have been working on mine. Next, thing he knows the employees there at Brakes Plus started telling him that everything was wrong with my car and that it would cost me $500 to fix it and keep in mind that this is practically a new car with only 18,000 miles on it that had already been checked out with a previous "honest" mechanic and found to have no errors, only the nail in the tire, which is the reason we brought the car back to the dealer in the first place which is why the dealer told us to take it to Brakes plus and he would pay for it. So, all you people just got busted in a lie! Not only this but I have spoken with other mechanics and OTO clientele of Brakes Plus and the only good thing they say is that your prices are low but that all of a sudden everything is wrong with their car the customer brings in, and instead of paying the "low price" you guys advertise, the price gets jacked up to where you ppl (Brakes Plus) will actually make a profit. It's the old "bait and hook" routine if you ask me.

IT IS INPOSSIBLE TO RESPOND TO THIS COMPLAINT

As someone who is proud to be part of this company I would like to help resolve this complaint. But I don't even know if this is about Brakes Plus. In the title she wrote "Global Daily Pay." How many companies is this person complaining about? Without the customers name and/or date of service it is impossible to verify. I will say this in defense of this company. We have 32 stores in Colorado & Arizona and work on tens of thousands of vehicles every month. And like every company we have an occasional consumer complaint. I think very few given the number of cars we work on. We take every complaint seriously and work rapidly to resolve the issue. I would think that most people would agree that it is unfair to advertise a complaint against a company that can not be confirmed. What mechanisms are in place to verify that these complaints are valid? Thank you for reading
