Girls Gone Wild GGW MRA Video ripoff Scam Thank you Rip-off ReportFOX 6 investigative reporter John Mattes first broke the story how Girls Gone Wild was marketing videos for only $9.99 consumers found the company tacking on huge fees. Thousands of consumers called it a rip-off on ripoffreport. After our story aired an attorney sued calling it deceptive advertising. Video part 1 Video part 2
Thanks for having this site. My, soon to be broke, son is learning an expensive lesson regarding credit card purchasing via the internet. However, after I checked out your site, I was able to track down the information I needed to hopefully stop this scam.
There is a 800 number offered when you access "Girls Gone Wild" on-line. I called and stayed on the line for a representative, who actually picked up, was given GGW's "customer service " number, 1-323 965-8710 and told they were availible 8-5 Pacific time.
I just called and spoke to a rep., gave them my name a told them I was going to persue legal action if they did not cancel my sons apparent "standing" order. After a few seconds "Omar" related to me his "subscription" was cancelled.
Since he just recieved a video today, which we will ship back, I will have to wait a month to see if this worked. However, I do beleive that if enough disgruntled GGW "customers" call they may begin to get it and comply. Hope this helps someone else, and thanks for offering this forum. It helped me.
