Getestore - Universal Banner Network scam to rip people out of about $80 for membership and deliver junk to us and not refund out money afterwards ripoff Internet
I fell for what appears to be a scam on-line called "getestore.com" where you purchase your own on-line retail store and they keep track of your profit and they drop-ship. The purchase was actually made through universal banner network as a one year subscription to this "getestore.com".
This membership is supposed to come with a free banner ad, which I never received, as well as other free advertising, which you have to be some sort of computer GENIUS to figure out how to obtain these things. They give very unclear directions and I have yet to follow through on anything they said would be included in my membership.
The prices of the items you assume are accurate, but they are not. You have to sell them very high to make any profit at all, and then who will want to buy you product to begin with? they also say you get free help and advertising power on EBay, but they give no directions of how to go about doing it. And again, the prices are too high anyway to make a profit.
I tried to get advertising on yahoo and they turned me down because they said I had gambling links on my store site, which I had no idea about!! What kind of OTHER Links are on my stores site that I have no desire to be a part of?? There are other companies putting up links and banners on my store site for which I do not get paid for them advertising on there and may not want to be involved in (such as the gambling link).
This place takes your money and tells you that you have your own internet store full of great, cheap items and they don't bother to tell you that in order for anybody to KNOW your store is on the web, YOU have to find and pay for advertising which is very expensive. And even if you get the banner ad, you have to pay to advertise that banner ad also- they don't tell you that. This is a big scam just to take our money, and we will most likely NEVER sell anything becasue the prices are too high, or becasue we cannot afford the amoutn of advertising we'd have to buy- or maybe just becasue they will not tell us we sold anything. They control our account and our "profit" that they claim we made.
This site ripped me off $80 and it did not take me long to realize it was a big scam. I have e-mailed them 3 times now asking for a refund, and have not recieved a reply. I have read on line from other people who have also gotten scammed by this company and have never gotten a refund. Something needs to be done about this on-line scam that is taking money from innocent people. I want my $80 back that I paid for this!!!
