For Thanksgiving in 2006, David Blaine, the magician, contracted the company I worked for to build a motorized human gyroscope for a stunt he was planning for Target Stores. The event was to take place in New York at Times Square. The company only had nine days to design and build the gyro from scratch. They did, and tried to test it on me in the last few minutes before packing it up and shipping it off. I refused to be a part of it, since I saw it fall apart on the first test. It was built without any engineering and tested within a four hour period. I, for one, know that you need to engineer something like this, and most importantly, test it for several days before placing a human life inside. Thank God it never made it's way to N.Y. David was spared this time. I hope he stays away from G & G.

George & Goldberg Almost Ruins Their Reputation...AGAIN!!

It has come to my attention, that some people at George & Goldberg are upset about the report above being filed with this website. And, while it is perfectly understandable why they are, the fact remains that I needed to do the public this service, to hopefully prevent anyone else from being injured or killed. Safety in the workplace is priority number one. Any greed for gain MUST take a back seat (or hopefully, be stowed in the boot). The above incident does not reflect on every employee at G & G, but rather a handful of "BAD APPLES" which have since been fired, or let go. These "know-it-all's" ended up costing the company more than just thousands of dollars; they also brought the company and it's employees a good deal of shame. The people that work for G & G are some of the nicest folks you would ever be fortunate enough to meet! I enjoyed every day I got to work with them. They may not know this, but I cherish the memory of ALL of them, and would recommend them to any client or company. The fact that several people caused several projects to fail, will always be a blemish on their once sparkling name in the industry. Still they press on. One thing I'll always remember: G & G is NOT it's owners. G & G is the brilliant employees who have kept the owners in business, despite their bungling and less-than-legal practices. It's the employees (past and present) that keep the fire glowing. At their holiday party each year, many former employees show up for the festivities! Where else can you find such loyalty? So, in conclusion, my hat's off to the employees at George & Goldberg...may your journey be fruitful, and may you see blessed days for the remainder of your time on earth. To the new owners (and former), congratulations on finally seeing the light. It took you a while but, you finally got rid of the "trouble-makers." Good for you! A final thought: "You might think you know someone, based solely on what others say about them...but, you really don't. If you have the guts to speak about them behind their back, you should have the guts to confront them face to face, for the truth. If you don't, you should stop talking about them once and for all."
