Genisis Financial Solutions Bogus Debt Claims Ripoff Beaverton OR Nationwide
We have received a letter of demand from the company listed above. We called the company to report that their information was bogus and they were perpetuating a scam started 10 years ago by their "supposed" client First Consumers National Bank.
The original scam was to send out a brochure for a FREE Bahamas Vacation. In the fine print it says you are responsible for the taxes. My husband never ordered the vacation, signed for a vacation or WENT on a Bahamas vacation, but the scammers have repeated demanded over $500 for taxes on this FREE vacation.
We have reputed this report numerous times, but.. here we go again.
Genesis Financial should be liable for promoting this scam as they obviously just "bought" debt without finding out if ANY of it is real.
Now we have to rebut this yet again and send out notices to ALL the credit reporting companies that this is a scam.
I am out time and money to fight this off once more.
I believe that our legislators should introduce a bill that forbids ANY contact concerning a debt that the creditor does not have WRITTEN proof of its existance and that they should have to PAY the victim of this harrassment $1000 per letter or call they make on fake debt claims.
If THEY were responsible for their actions, perhaps we could slow down the identity theft and persecution of innocent victims of this kind of abuse.
