oN NOV 16 1998 I PURCHASED A NEW HOME IN OMAHA NEBRASKA FROM CELEBRITY HOMES. WITH THIS PURCHASE I RECIEVED "AMONG OTHER APLIANCES" A BRAND NEW GE RIFRIGERATOR MODEL#(TBX18SIBKRWW), i RECENTLY MOVED TO TUCSON AZ.

I HAD EVERYTHING MOVED PROFESSIONALLY. ON NOV. 17 1999 I NOTICED THAT THE FRIDG. WAS NOT COOLING BUT THE FREEZER SECTION WAS FINE.

I CALLED GE AND I SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT THE FOLLOWING DAY FOR A REPAIR AT APPROX. 1:30PM. THE NEXT DAY THEY NEVER SHOW UP. I CALLED THEM BACK AND THEY SAID THEY CANCELLED MY APPOINTMENT BECAUSE I WAS NOT HOME.

I ARGUED WITH THEM AND STATED THAT I HAD BEEN WAITING ALL DAY LONG FOR THEM AND ENDED UP BEING LATE FOR WORK. THEY CLAIMED THAT THEY CALLED MY HOUSE AND I WAS NOT THERE.

I THEM CALLED ANOTHER REPAIR SERVICE AND THEY CAME OUT THAT DAY.( THE REPAIR JOB WAS $179.00) WHEN I TALKED WITH THE REPAIRMAN ABOUT MY WARRENTY I TOLD HIM I WAS NOT SURE HOW MUCH LONGER I HAD ON MY WARRANTY. HE CALLED GE AND THEY SAID THAT THE WARRANTY HAD EXPIRED ON NOV.16 1999.

ASKED IF THERE WAS ANYTHING THEY COULD DO SEEING THAT THE FRIDG HAD BROKE THE DAY AFTER THE WARRANTY HAD EXPIRED. THEY SAID THEY WERE NOT LIABLE AND THAT I SHOULD HAVE SIGNED UP FOR THE EXTENDED WARRANTY PACKAGE THEY SENT ME WEEKS BEFORE. I TOLD THEM I NEVER RECEIVED ANYTHING FROM THEM. ON NOV 19 I RECEIVED MY LETTER ABOUT THE MY WARRANTY COVERAGE ENDING ON NOV.16. BY THEN IT WAS TO LATE TO SIGN UP FOR THE COVERAGE.

I AGAIN CALLED GE AND THEY SAID THEY WOULD NOT HELP WITH ANY OF THE BILL AND THAT IT WAS JUST BAD LUCK ON MY PART THAT THE UNIT BROKE 1 DAY AFTER THE WARRANTY WAS UP.

See I told you GE is junk. This is the stuff I heard all the time. The thing that sucks is most of the people are home all day and our techs would call their house to make sure someone was there but if someone didn't pick up the phone for whatever reason our techs would cancel the appointment and move on to the next, and there was nothing we could do but schedule another one. And most of the time if they got a different repair
we wouldn't help with the bill. I heard this scenario so many times you wouldn't believe.
