I requested an online quote for auto insurance from Geico on 8/13/2015.  Filled out all the forms online and was issued a quote for a 6 month policy for $430.40 and immediately purchased.  I was quoted monthly payments of $76.74 and gave them a card for the first months coverage to start in latye September when my current insuranmce expired.  They drafted my bank at that time.  I received an email confirmation on that date so I thought it was settled.  

I received an email from Geico on 9/23/2015 entitled Billing Statement which stated payments of $138.20.  I then contacted Geico for an explanatioin and was given the run around expected when dealing with a large corporation.  Noone would give their names, no supervisors were available, the issue was caused by mistakes in their offices.

 

This was and is a blatent bait and switch scheme that is illegal and a egregious violation of the insurers duty of good faith and fair dealing as required by Florida statutes.  

BEWARE OF ONLINE QUOTES FROM GEICO AUTO INSURANCE. They are scamming elderly people everywhere.
