My dtr purchased auto ins from Geico 3/1/02.on 4/15/02 she was involved in a 4 car auto accident caused by an unisured/unlicensed driver!

When she called to make claim she was sent paperwork to fill out.after approximately 4wks they were unable to locate her policy for benefits!

Finally her policy was located and her lost wages started!Then in july her car she had wreck in had to be replaced for a thrown rod!

The dealer she purchased the car from made improper sales tax collections and the Co mtr vehicle division got involved!She received a phone call from the woman of mtr vehicles to inform my dtr her drivers license was suspended!

She contacted mtr vehicles who said they cancelled her in 6/02 for no sr22.She contacted the insurance co who said it would take 7-10 days to get the information to mtr vehicles!

she called yesterday to make her insurance pymt by check and was told her ins. was cancelled for suspension of her license which was a result of Geico!

She talked to the representative who(MICHELLE) Said there was nothing she could do and her refund check was in the mail with cancellation effective 1/2/03!

Now my dtr has a suspension on her license as a result of Geicos error!

Sounds like a game of not wanting to take resposibilty for their(Geicos) error!

Update:Since original complaint filed WITH Rip Off complaint WAS FILED with the Colorado Division Of Insurance Commission!Received notice back that GEICO has 20 days to respond to the complaint,in addition my dtr filed a request for a hearing with the Co division of mtr vehicle @ which time all the evidence was presented and the hearing office recended her suspension in addition to not charging her a reinstatement fee!He also said for her to follow through on her complaint to the Insurance commission as it was obvious that GEICO was in the wrong!Many people have things like this happen to them by Insurance companies and don't know they can fight back! GEICO is unscruptulious,dishonest,and a RIP OFF to the consumers of motor vehicle insurance!This is what continually raises our insurance premiums is dishonest insurance companies!
