Complaint Review: GE Money Bank - Nationwide

I was a Pep Boys Cardholder. I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in 2007 and began working out all payment arrange,ent with Pep Boys - GE Money Bank.  I explained to close card - which they did - I worked out 75.00 per month it went to 85.00 then down to 60.00 per month in the later part of 2008. In 2009 I was then re-diagnosed with a second cancer - I went to legal aid in Monmouth County and was told to write letters and they too assisted. They notified me I was OK. That any balances on the card - then maybe 800 would be "writtten off" against my credit - as bad debt.  I ageed to it. My goal was to stop the harassing phonecalls my health was first. I took the "credit hit" - they knew I was a reliable payor. I was always on time until ill.  I accepted bad credit in order to be well. I closed not only their card - but ALL.  After 6 years almost 7 - I now am getting wage garnishment and threatening letters as well I see a 3100 judgement again on my home! WHAT is going on! If a legal counselor tells me what to do - how can they come back years later and put judgements on my home on a write off!  How can they increase it and do that! I again need this to cease and desist. IT IS WRONG. It is atrocious. I followed the recommendation of an attorney. I do not know what PEP BOYS or GE MONEY BANK is doing but a write off - a credit strike was already there for me years ago. I am in no position for any pay garnishment nor any judgement on my property. I have been battling two cancers since 2007! My income is low for a single mother with two children in college. I need them to bacj off and cease and desist and most of all no garnishments as well - why place a judgement on my home on a credit card that was paid a portion and I took the resolution to bad debt write off on balance, I have received no mail in over 6-7 years! Why is this being re -opened and on my home! It has to be written off as promised years ago. My poor credit till this day has followed me and for a credit card or bank to re-open anything this many years later is a RIP OFF - A Lie - A Fraud. I do not feel well and do not need any more about it. I have nothing to do with Pep Boys. I think because my daughter went in and bought a battery for her car that they pulled up her address and our last name and it became " hmmmm jufith fordham is in our system as a closed or past customer" - I think my child going to get a car battery enabled them - to re -open a "can of worms"  I recently did a loan mod on my home - one was done in 2011 - I did not see Pep Boys or GE Money on my judgements or anything - no mail - nothing!  I am filing tbis report today because this action must stop! I have to protect my home and my family - and my over all well being. I had two cancers with the enormity of my health. My own personal attorney told me your well being and your home and over all support and medical is first. This has to end - this judgement this bad debt is just that - a bad debt! Should not be coming after me on a garnishment nor on a judgement. It has to end!! Thank YOU for filing and please do something! My health is first - I lost all abilities to have good credit - I paid the price with my life - tetering on survicing and make less being a college graduate 30 years work history means nothing - my medical bills outweight anything. I can NOT afford any one to lien on my home nor my pay. It has to cease.
