i was contacted by GE Money Bank telling me that I had been pre-approved for a $5000. They stated that they have been around since 1996 and would find the best rates even if you had bad credit or were on social security. When I talked them, the gentleman asked me if I had a credit card and what the balance is. I told him that I was maxed out at $300. He stated that they would pay off my credit card so that my credit score would increase and then they would send me $5000. I was told to give him my credit card number so that they could pay off my account. After I saw that my card was paid off, I was to get a cash advance from my credit card and send them $300 and they would deposit the money in my account. This sounded strange to me so I told him that I would have to call him back since I didn't have my card with me. This man sounded like the same one that wanted me to send him $270 last week under a different loan company name. He said his suppervisors name was Michael Hartman. They wanted me to send $270 for insurance to get a loan for $1500. He told me to wire money to Jeff Nitzer and in 2o minutes i would have money depsited in my account. I refused to wire the money and told him that I did not want the loan. He told me I had to take the loan I told him that I did not have to take his money and I would not send him money. He threatened to take payments out of my checking account any way. I told him that I was going to call my attorney and he said to go ahead because he had 87 attorneys and that I had better not try to close my account because he would find out my new account number. He could do anything. I hung up and called my bank to let them know what was going on and moved my money.
