GE Capital Cons Cardco Ripoff lied denied hung up Dayton Ohio

I am writing in regard to GE Capital Cons Cardco.
I assume you contract with them to handle the financing of retail sales. We financed a Sony Viao, CD/MD player, digital camera, through your Tulsa store with GE Capital with a 0% promotion. We had paid on time, in fact the merchandise is paid in full. The problem is my wife had spoken to a customer rep for GE asking when the balance needed to be paid to avoid interest charges. She was told we had 1 more month to pay off. When the statement came a couple of weeks later it showed the interest had been added. She immediately called GE and disputed the interest charge, because their customer service had told her incorrect information.
The rep. she spk with at that time said there was no record of her 1st phone call, but to wwrite a letter explaining what had transpired and that the finance charges might be waived. After not hearing anything from them we called today. They claimed they had sent a letter on 02/03/04 rejecting the finance charge wave. We still have not received anything as of 02/18/04. Even with the account under dispute they continued to charge interest. My wife tried to explain what had taken place, asked that our letter be reviewed again, to subtract the interest charges that accruded since the date of dispute. Their customer service responded BY HANGING UP ON HER!
I did an internet search on GE Capital and the results returned mainly complaints, I have never had that happen when searching a company. I have been very pleased with your stores and have repeatedly chose to shop there without looking anywhere else. I have recommended your store highly. But I will no longer do so until you end your relationship with GE Capital. I'm contacting the Okla. BBB and our State Attorney General as some others have in other States. Please research this and you'll see that GE Capital Cons Cardco is not representing your company well. (Please Respond)
