I have read a lot of your stories and I too am not happy to report that I have been screwed royally by this company. I am looking at over $800.00 in finance charges that is "NON-NEGOTIABLE" I have come to the conclusion after 6 phone calls to their CSR dept. (what a joke) and 2 phone calls to a consumer advise group that I am going to have to pay these charges. My main concern is after reading all of your stories, what other charges am I going to incure...Late charges from holding my payment and then the finance charges from that??? I can not believe that I am afraid to pay a bill... I have been around and around with this company and I supposedly received the name of the CEO (Michael Gaudino) and a phone number but when I called guess what..A messaging service for someone with a completely different name.

I have been to the Better Business Bureau and they have had the most complaints in the credit/billing depts. It stated that all but 24 were resolved and I am concerned that they were resolved due to the customer paying the bill. I have decided that to insure the safety of my money and credit history I am going to contact the media in my city and hope they will be able to make a story of this. I am suggesting that we all attempt to do the same thing at the same time. Obviously it wont take the company out but if there is enough coverage nation wide I am sure it would dent them a bit.

In addition I think we should all come up with a date and time to call their 800 # and tie up their phone lines with senseless babble about the unresolved issues with our accounts. Given the inability to include email addresses I dont know how to coordinate this. If anyone is interested I guess the best thing to do is to file another report at this site and attempt to communicate this way. Either way I have to have the last laugh and an $800.00 + laugh at that...

I used to work in the lockbox at Grade Lane. the biggest problem is that the lockbox was once a lockbox owned by Bank One (now Chase.) This bank is consistently shorthanded because they pay low wages, use antiquated machines that chew up people's payments, and are only in the past year or two using check imaging. I was there a year. Best bet, call your GE rep and tell them this--since the bank's lockbox WON'T
