I purchased a Gateway computer as a surprise for my children's x-mas present in Dec,2000, I am not very computer literate, and I explained this to the young man(sales rep).I feel totally victimized by gateway!

First, they sold me an outdated computer,one they had been advertising for $799.00,of course I was charged $1400.00 for it,I was making the payment right along, then 1 month I made 2 payments in the same envelope,I recieved a late payment for this,because they apparently couldn't figure out how to apply 2 payments at once!

For my late fee and interest I was charged $29.00 finance fee,and a late fee of $39.00,so my payments being $58.00 I was in the hole,and they threw me out of thier credit card club!!!Its amazing but,I have made 10 payments and only managed to pay $74.00 toward this obsolete computer!

Then, to top it off it appears they have sold my payment contract to another company.I signed up for the computer trade-in program when I bought this piece of junk,and because of their incompotence I am stuck with a obsolete computer! Just thought I would warn anyone who thought Gateway is a good option, DON'T let them suck you in!!
