Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

So far we had to relace the engine the one in the car had two low cylinders, a broken ignition switch, repair the power windows , fix a transmission leak and on and on we go $15,000 in the hole and still counting. It was lie after lie also wiring the chock open to start the car.

I bought a 1970 challenger RT Clone show car from Gateway Classics Cars fro a Salesman Doug Howell on Nov 19 2014, after many telephone conversation going over the car the car was shipped to me.  All the time Doug and I were taking I would asl him about problems with the car, leaks what was not working he would say everthing is working no leaks, engine running great a real show car. Well when I got the car after I traded my 1932 Ford and $8,000 I got this car with a broken igination, power windows had lots of trouble going up or down, the engine back firning and running over 2000 RPM, NO horn and leaks like crazy.  I called Doug about the problems and he said the Director of sales Brad Kline would get back to me he call and asked me to get estimate on the problems,I did but  he would do nothing  the car is sold as is.  Well so far I have about $15,000 into the car getting it fixed, new engine because the other one had two low cylinders, whey low 45 lbs, wich should be in the 100 range.  So  if your going to buy a car fro Gateway Classic Cars in any of their location be very carryfull and have that car look at before you buy and do not take their word on anything or you will be join my get screwed club. I could write another page of problems we found, but I think you get my message by now.

When you confront Gateway with problems or the fact that you have been lied to and duped and also lied about, They just lie more and cover up and make excuses as to why They are NOT responsible.

It has been two weeks since my personal ordeal with these Con artist. I have no title so I called the bank. The bank says that they have NOT received the title from Gateway albeit Gateway has been paid $39,000.

It is beyond my understanding as to why the car I bought is still on ebay and being advertised on Gateways home page?

Believe me this Gateway company is the lowest life no moral or ethics at all and will do or say anything to get you to buy a car.

They have found a legal loophole and that is "they are just a third party consignment shop.

Believe me there is nothing good at all to say about this copany. The only thing I can hop is no one else gets taken.

He traded us a vehicle that had issues. I reported to him that even though his paint and interior were not as not as reported to us, we would continue with the trade depsite the fact that we would not be able to make money on his vehicle. We did this out of good faith as we are not a charity.  He then complained about the car he traded for and I told him to get me an estimate for the repairs needed and send them to me so I could see if we could help. As he said in his complaint, he did not do that.  I cannot help anyone if they don't let me. The offer to help is now off the table as this was months and months ago and he has chosen the path of leaving negative reviews VS giving us a chance to make it right.

This was not a scam or a ripoff. This was a gentleman that offered a trade, we accepted, he asked that some work be done to the vehicle prior to the deal (at the seller's expense), which was done. He could have come and inspected the vehicle at any time but chose not to. Neither party was happy with the condition of the others vehicle, but there is nowhere for Gateway to report an individual for "ripping them off."

We consider the sale final and are offering no reimbursement to the former customer.
